Vanessa Minnillo: Nick Lachey's Hoping for a 'Tailgate' Wedding

Though she's been engaged since November,
Vanessa Minnillo hasn't done much wedding planning yet, according to
UsMagazine.com.
"I always feel irresponsible, like I'm unprepared for my test at school," she said, while chatting with Rachel Ray on her talk show, which airs next Monday. "We have nothing yet, except for the wedding planner."
If fiance
Nick Lachey had any say in the matter, however, it would be a very non-traditional wedding -- as in plastic cups and foam fingers.
"If I let Nick plan the wedding it'll be around some sporting event," she said. "We'll have a big old tailgate party with Miller Light! We'll have University of Cincinnati Bearcats running around!"
For now, the couple is enjoying being engaged. After four years of dating, Minnillo secretly hoped a ring was just around the corner, but admitted she was still "floored" when Lachey popped the question.
"Since we've been together for so long, every time he asked me to do something romantic, I thought it might be the moment," she told Ray. "So even if I didn't want to, he'd be like, 'Baby, let's go watch the sunset,' I'm like, 'OK.' Just in case it was. Nothing. 'Baby, let's go take a hike.' Nothing. This went on for like a year! But I don't think you're ever prepared for the moment."

I only came here to register my indifference. I only read the headline and frankly...who cares?

You must care! You came, you read & you posted!
You did NOT read my post, idiot. I only read the headline and wanted to register my indifference. It ain't rocket science. Are your parents cousins, or can't you read yet?
Meeker if your were TRULY indifferent you wouldn't have bothered to post.
Stop being nasty.
oh meeker...your tranparency is matched only by your sad, sad anger at others. were you picked on while playing on the playground? were you picked last during a game of dodgeball at, what i am guessing was a sad little back-water, school? trust us all when we say, we all know you care about vanessa and nick - you love them don't you? do you pine away wishing you were them? do lay away at night in painful turmoil of just getting to the nearest blog or post or wall so you can share your witticisms with the world? ah...we feel badly for you. good luck in therapy though.
I have more respect for a woman that does 'not' spend tens of thousands dollars on their wedding, in some cases even more.
Its a total waste of money, in my book, to spend so much and its all for show. The money in the end, does not mean much, its really all about being happy. I would not want a tail gate party though, but this is kind of funny.
Vanessa was always a smart, and beautiful lady.
I wish her and her husband to be, all the very best.

Vanessa is upset she has to sign a prenup. She sounds like a major a-hole in interviews. She tries too hard to be cutesy but she's not. Just a desperate fame wh@re. Nick likes his women extra dumb!

Really??? Nick asked that of her? WOW, if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black! Didn't Nick take millions of Jessica's dollars in their divorce?
Hey Alvin! I am happy that you are so close to Vanessa that she can discuss her personal business with you, business like signing a pre-nap. Get real man! They are a great couple and in these trying times, it is nice to see love.
What is this no-talent woman doing in the news? Anyone who was (or still is) part of Lohan's notorious Hollywood party entourage will never earn my respect.

Nick and Vanessa, there is so much chemistry in your relationship. As I've stated before, you make such a beautiful couple!! If you learn to love and understand each others ways; and also understand that there may be times when one of you may have to give up doing something one day just to make the other person happy for that day; then you both will have a long and successful marriage. You both kept your relationship going this long, so make your marriage last, not two years or three years like most Hollywood marriages, but make it last 20, 30, years and through all the ups and downs.
