What's Behind Charlie Sheen's 'Vile' Attack on Denise Richards?

EXCLUSIVE: Charlie Sheen unleashed a
vile attack Monday morning on ex-wife
Denise Richards, the mother of his two daughters and one of his last defenders, calling the actress a "traitor and loser whore" and "dog thief" on his uber-popular
Twitter feed. Now, sources very close to the former couple reveal what's really fueling Charlie's newfound hatred of Denise.
"Denise didn't steal the dogs, he gave them back to her," a close friend of Charlie's tells me, referring to two pugs that no longer stay with the actor. "They were in horrendous shape. He doesn't want the dogs, he wants to fight!"
True, just read what @CharlieSheen tweeted to 3 million followers this morning: "We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH-neese POOR-ards. a vile kidnapper and now dog thief. hate."
A source tells me that the pugs were in fact Denise's, but that after their divorce she let him keep them at his house so that when their daughters came to visit, "they would feel more at home." But then following his infamous hotel-trashing incident in NYC, he gave the dogs back to her.
"They were in terrible shape. He could not look after himself let alone two dogs," Charlie's friend tells me, adding that giving back the dogs was a sort of "thank you gift" for her steadfast support of him.
Sadly, according to TMZ, one of the pugs has died since leaving Sheen's "Sober Valley Lodge."
During his epic run of interviews last month, Charlie called Denise "fabulous" and "smoking hot," saying that he loves her "to death." But I'm told his mood swung wildly after Denise rebuffed his request to allow their daughters, Sam and Lola, to be a part of a Dateline special.
"When his sons with Brooke [Mueller] were removed from his custody last month, he asked Denise to bring their daughters to tape interviews, and she said no," my source said. "Since that, things with Charlie have been very, very ugly."
"Once you offend him, he will go out of his way to destroy you," the friend says.
And even with all this hatred and negativity, a source close to both Charlie and Denise stresses that the actress will continue to be civil for the sake of their kids.
"Denise doesn't agree with his lifestyle, but has always been respectful because of the daughters," my source contends. "She'll always be there for Charlie, but she can't put her kids through this."

While everyone looks on in amusement at someone in a death spiral, I can't help to imagine the number of "why didn't someone do something to prevent it" specials after he hits bottom - which he will eventually do. Personally, I could care less about Sheen and really wish he would be left in peace to nose dive.

Sheen is one nasty, ugly, jerk of a guy. I can't call him a man, cause a man does not abuse women, which Sheen does.
I'd like to see Sheen bullied by a man three times his size and get a taste of what he's dishing out!
A Loser guy 100%

Terrible, terrible!!! To say those things about the mother of his daughters. She is doing the right thing by not responding to his remarks, for the sake of her children. It says a lot about her. What a nut case he is!!!!!!!

Cant believe people cater to this sob.

I think Denise wanted a husband.......and Charlie is not and never going to be a husband.........

Charlie, do yourself and the world a favor, kill youtself. Do not prolong the drama, you have never been worth very much and now you are worth LESS. Take your rants where they belong--to Hell.

I think that this is the final straw for good ole Charlie. Denise has stayed quiet during all of this stupidity, but to attack her was a really bad move. He will now lose what little support he had, and the ones that stick with him will just be waiting to watch the final destruction as entertainment.

The guy's a train wreck waiting to happen.

- All his wives dumped him.

- He was fired from his job.
- He has a chronic substance abuse problem.
- He's a laughing stock.
- His teeth are rotted out from snorting coke.
- He abuses animals.

this is a very ill man...why isn't someone helping him...like his family....we won't be happy until he od's..maybe we are as sick as he is to be watching this very sad show!.

You are so right! Society is sick to want to hear about this ill person any longer and not to even try and help him! Why not help him???? Why are we the people & press doing this???
michael douglas has cancer...his father had a stroke...and continued to act...we all supported them...opened our hearts to them...charlie has at least one disease which is
mental..the other is addiction...so why can't we as decent human beings reach out to him...put some pressure on to get him the help he needs...wishing someone dead doesn't make us any better then he is....in my eyes...it makes us worse!
You are all acting like Denise Richards is some kind of saint but you have short memories. She broke up Heather Locklear'marriage....REMEMBER??
She was having an affair with Richie 2 seconds after Charlie moved out and Richie Sambora was still living with his wife and daughter, Denise Richard's best friend, Heather Locklear.
This affair could have been going on while Charlie was living at home with Denise, who knows? Now she puts on this sweet, innocent, little girl lost act in public but that description doesn't fit a back-stabbing best friend who purposely seduces your man.
I like Charlie Sheen because he is what he is. He doesn't pretend to be perfect, just the opposite. You know who and what he is up front Being a hypocrite is NOT for Charlie, he lets it all hang out unlike Denise Richards, two faced to the core.

You no doubt see a lot of yourself in Charlie Sheen. You seem to think his attitudes and rantings are an admirable statement against authority. He's a drug-addict honey. I can only imagine the men you've been with.
What make's Charlie Sheen mad is people are beginning to not care about his put on and made up ranting's, He is a publicity freak. If CBS bring's him back I think it will backfire on CBS because at this point people just want him to go away

Yeah, it's about time Denise opened fire and shot down an F-18.

The man is ill and at this stage only responsible for not getting some help, not for the specifics of his language.
Why is his twitter account so popular? Please, people, stop feeding the beast. If his popularity waned, if people stopped gazing at the train wreck ...
Right now Sheen can tell himself that people love this and it makes him want to continue.
I pity them all, those poor kids shouldn't have to go through this.

I almost was feeling empathy for the guy and thinking he should really try and resurrect his career but his behavior is atrocious.
He wanted to use his own daughters to boost his star status and when Denise wouldn't allow it, he showed his true colors...again.
I think she is 100% right for not letting those girls be a part of this abominable charade.
All any woman in her right mind would do is keep the kids away from him and the circus that surrounds him.
Last but not least, it's a shame she let him neglect those poor animals. He should have been charged for that like anyone else.

If everybody stopped watching his antics...the money would stop rolling in, and he would either go away, or start behaving like the adult, mature "artist" he is. It's people who watch his "shows" on Twitter or whatever medium he's performing on that keep him acting up. I bet he lays in bed at night, and plans his next stunt, so his desperate "fans" get their "Charlie Sheen Fix". If we all just stopped encouraging him, he would go away! There are too many really important things going on to give this idiot another minute of our attention!
