'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans Arrested for Assault

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans has been arrested for assault, TMZ reports.

The arrest follows an investigation by North Carolina's Brunswick County Sheriff's Department after a video of the 19-year-old savagely attacking another woman was released on the Internet.

Evans was reportedly furious because she believed the woman had been flirting with her boyfriend.

A warrant was issued for Evans' arrest after police saw the video. The victim, Britany Truett, initially said she wasn't going to press charges, but later changed her mind.

Evans is charged with assault and "affray for fighting." She is due back in court April 26.

"Based on the information that I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up," an attorney for Evans told TMZ.

There needs to be a law mandating a parent who allows their minor children to watch this rancid filth to get a good kick in his/her rear end. What a society we live in..rewarding people for irresponsibility and stupidity.

This girl is a train wreck. Maybe she should be more concerned with her SON, rather than some guy she's dating, I can tell you now, he's probably not even worth it!. Sorry hunny, when you are a young single mom, some things take priority over boys, drugs, and fighting over stupid s***. Really, it's time to grow up.

May have been a surveillance camera (not always obvious) or a cell phone camera (again, not always obvious, as they are everywhere). But that's neither here nor there. People need to behave themselves regardless as to whether they may be caught on video. I am glad that embiciles like her are caught, and charges should be pressed in every case. The reason things are so out of control is that excuses are made for young people. Society should ask one question: Is the victim of a crime any less injured (or dead) because the perpetrator is 13 rather than 30? (This coddling is also shown to the elderly--like that creepy 92-year-old woman who shot at her 53 year-old neighbor because he wouldn't giver her a kiss; she should be locked up, just like a 22-year-old who pulls the same stunt.)

I don't follow the show, but watch a few minutes of it if I run across it. Her mother is there for her, I believe the grandma is raising the baby. The girl needs to grow up. Which is what the grandma tells her all the time. People need to take responsabilty of there own actions, stop blaming others.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. I see her mother as frustrated, exasperated, and TIRED of her daughter's antics. Jenelle dumped a new born baby on her mom and CONSTANTLY disrespects her mother. I think Barbara treats Jenelle the way she does because she's fed up with being treated like crap. Also, Barbara is WORRIED about her, which is why she keeps giving her one chance after another. Jenelle is showing that she is ONLY capable of making bad choices. She's never shown that she can make a good choice for herself. The only time she's shown that she has half a brain, was when she signed over her rights to the baby.
I admit that Barbara needs to find a new way to deal with Jenelle, but Jenelle needs to grow up. The excuse that she's young is just that, an excuse. She was old enough to lay down and make a baby, and she was old enough to keep that baby, now its time to show she's actually worthy of being in his life.
