'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans Arrested for Assault

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans has been arrested for assault, TMZ reports.

The arrest follows an investigation by North Carolina's Brunswick County Sheriff's Department after a video of the 19-year-old savagely attacking another woman was released on the Internet.

Evans was reportedly furious because she believed the woman had been flirting with her boyfriend.

A warrant was issued for Evans' arrest after police saw the video. The victim, Britany Truett, initially said she wasn't going to press charges, but later changed her mind.

Evans is charged with assault and "affray for fighting." She is due back in court April 26.

"Based on the information that I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up," an attorney for Evans told TMZ.

lol Her attorney thinks she was set up. No one made her throw the first punch nor did anyone make her continue to savagely beat the other girl when she was on the ground. Nothing six months in jail wouldn't cure or would it? Probably not.

This girl is bad news, and white trash. I watched the video, how gross and trashy that is. She's 19 and acting like she's 6. Lord knows she was probably hyped up on some kind of drug. GROSS.

All I can say is I hope this girl's child is taken away from her and placed in a good, moral home where he/she will have a chance at a decent life. And not with the mother or grandmother either because she would still be an influence...a negative influence. Of course, the mother is who raised that piece of trash in the first place. The kid won't stand a chance of ever being respected by anyone if left with her.

I watch it and I'm far from white trash. I was a teen mom myself so it interests me to see how these girls will "step up" and handle motherhood. Most of the girls take really good care of their children. They just have to throw in girls like Janelle to stir the pot. Is it disgusting? Yes. Do I condone this behavior just because I watch it? Absolutely not!!!!

I had never seen the show until yesterday, but, right away, I could tell that Jenelle was THE WORST out of all of the girls on Teen Mom 2. All of the bad choices she mad in that single episode were unbelievable. I've seen first graders make better choices in video games! She needs to dump her loser boyfriend, get a job, swallow her pride, and start acting like a real mother.

All MTV is doing is glorifing teen pregnancy.When these girls are struggling to pay bills and take care of thier kids after the show moves on maybe then they`ll realize what its really like to have children. Seems like for the last 2 years babies are nothing more than a fashion accessory for some young girls. Don`t go having kids until you`re ready to handle it, financially and emotionally. This girl needs to stay locked up for the sake of her child. She puts everything and everyone before her son. She never fought like that for him. He's better off with her mom and her mom should get a restraing order to keep her away. When her son grows up, he can watch reruns and see what a poor excuse for a mother Janelle was.

By your evaluation you're not white trash, but the majority of people might conclude otherwise. You don't say but it seems probable by single mother you mean your child was born out of wedlock. This might not be indicative of the rest of your life, but it certainly doesn't start you on the positive side of respectability.
