'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans Arrested for Assault

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans has been arrested for assault, TMZ reports.

The arrest follows an investigation by North Carolina's Brunswick County Sheriff's Department after a video of the 19-year-old savagely attacking another woman was released on the Internet.

Evans was reportedly furious because she believed the woman had been flirting with her boyfriend.

A warrant was issued for Evans' arrest after police saw the video. The victim, Britany Truett, initially said she wasn't going to press charges, but later changed her mind.

Evans is charged with assault and "affray for fighting." She is due back in court April 26.

"Based on the information that I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up," an attorney for Evans told TMZ.

I am a woman. I have never been impregnated prior to marriage. I am middle aged. I think your position is bulls*it. Since the woman is the one to get pregnant and make all the decisions, it is imperative on HER to make sure she doesn't get pregnant. There's the pill, IUD, Norplant, condoms and good old abstinence. We didn't have the IUD and Norplant when I was a young woman, but we had pills and a condom. Guess what Liz? I used both pills and a condom,at the same time, and never got pregnant. I also didn't allow sex if a condom was not available. I grew up in the dawn of the HIV/AIDS era. I cared about my health. I never had an STD either. I was also a cop for 15 years and guess what? Girls have gotten more slovenly over the years. Going to parties, getting drunk and drugged, sleeping with God only knows who. All the while, throwing caution to the wind concerning pregnancy, STDs, and who the father may be. The responsibility to not get pregnant in the first place rests with the woman. It's plain lazy and trashy to get pregnant today when so many preventative measures exist.

I don't think that just because a woman has a child out of wedlock that means she is white trash. I do watch this show and Jenelle seems to be the only one who is not taking responsibly for her child. I also don't think that the viewers of this show are white trash. I certainly am not, I am very well educated, married and have a young daughter myself. I truly feel sorry for these girls and what they now have to go through to raise their children alone. If anything I think it is good for young teenage girls to watch this show. It teaches them how difficult their lives could be if they did have a baby. People are just too quick to judge others and that isn't right.

Seriously stop making off the wall excuses, your not being set up you attacked some chick who you thought was flirting with your loser boyfriend (btw does he have a job yet or he is still mooching off Jenelle?) a woman who is secure with herself and her relationship would not have gone crazy but been flattered or decided if he wants her then good ridence. You are suppose to be raising your son you had at 16, guess what having a baby isnt like a doll you can dress up. No more parties drinking etc work school study homework son....heres your life. I hope she grows up and fast this is nuts some of the teen moms are doing good and trying to do better for the children. Its hard work but it can be done my best friends both were teen moms now they are college educated strong women who there girls can be proud of

I think they also need to arrest the girl who kept pushing Jenelle into the other girl, basically forcing them to fight. Her friends are obviously just as low life as she is.

I won't call teen unwed mothers white trash. I will however say they are pretty darn stupid. Pregnancy is easily avoided.Then if your dumb enough not to bother with protection your child is a burden on you, your family, your finances, your schooling, your social life and the years you should be having fun and learning about life. But are you white trash? Heck no.
