Will 'Dancing' Audience Boo Chris Brown? Network Has a Plan
Chris Brown is set to perform on 'Dancing With the Stars' Tuesday night, and show insiders are very worried that the hotheaded performer may get booed on live television.
"It's a family friendly show that wants to keep its tone upbeat and happy," a show insider tells me. "The last thing they want to happen is for Chris to not get a very warm welcome and ruin the whole atmosphere for the entire evening."
Even the show's super friendly host Tom Bergeron warned that there might be trouble if he gets the chance to interview Brown.
"I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something," Tom told Ryan Seacrest. But Tom has nothing to worry about as Chris will only be performing this evening and not talking.
Chris recently freaked out backstage at 'Good Morning America' after being asked a question about assaulting his then-girlfriend,
Rihanna, back in 2009.
"We are prepared to cut right to commercial after Chris performs," an insider tells me. "If anyone boos you wont get to hear it on TV. The only thing that we are worried about is if the audience doesn't react well before the performance. The sound guy will do his best to pump up the music and drown out the sound from the crowd."

If they are so worried about it they already know they shouldn't have invited him. I won't be watching the show tonight.

They say it's a family show then why are they having a convicted woman beater on. NO NO NO..I will not watch this piece of garbage. I will watch another show and I hope he gets bood off the stage.
Couldn't agree with Sue more. Why are they having this physical female abuser on the show? I too will not allow my family to watch tonight.

I totally agree with both Sue and Julie, and I'm a guy. WHY would this show invite a convicted abuser on to a family show? Everybody saw the injuries that he inflicted on Rhianna. if they're worried already about Chris Brown's behavior, then why did they invite him on the show? And what's going to happen if he gets booed? Throw a chair at the audience?
Because he is human, and he has shown that he has learned from his mistakes, people like you need to get off his back. lets say one of your family members made a mistake like that in the heat of the moment, you would want people to forgive your family member who you care about. Chris has shown remorce for 2 years, he is back in the charts and kids are listening to his MUSIC, thats exactly what people should be interested in, his talent not life style. get a grip.
matt ... you are absolutely full of crap! Chris Brown didn't just make "a mistake". He beat the s*** out of Rhianna. His bahavior wasn't just a one-time thing. The guy is a ticking time bomb, ready to blow up any time he doesn't like something!
I find it quite curious that you are so quick to jump to the defense of a man who has such a violent nature. Birds of a feather ... ?
FYI ... It's spelled remorSe, not remorCe!
Matt just back away slowly, very slowly
It isn't just about Rhianna. Matt says he is sorry, but if he is sorry why the violent temper tantrum after being asked about it on GMA? If he wants us to move on, then he needs to say he's sorry about it every time he's asked and THEN talk about the record he wants to sell. If he's the good guy who truly has mended his ways, Americans will forgive. But if he continues violent, irrational behavior, we aren't going to forget.
I agree 100% with ann davis, SUE, and Julie! Why are they even having this guy on to begin with? Chris Brown has proven himself to be volatile to say the least! His behavior ranges from unpredictable to downright violent!
Even DWTS host, Tom Bergeron, wants nothing to do with him. If this is supposed to be a "family friendly" show, why in God's name is this abusive fool going to be on it?
Is this supposed to be yet another bad attempt at getting ratings?? I think the producers of DWTS need a good solid smack upside their brainless heads - figuratively speaking, of course! What the h*** are they thinking!!

Why have this piece of trash on the show anyway? Why do we keep giving these no talent bums publicity? DWTS just keeps going downhill.

Hey here is a thought....turn to Charlie Sheens "family" show instead. Oops that's right he doesn't have one anymore which why you all are really mad. #STAYMAD#

Mike Tyson was on DWTS. So was it family friendly then too? People are soo hypocritical. DWTS had accused rapist, beaters, cheaters, adulteress, Angry management issues, etc.. Tom Bergeron himself had angry issues and he himself said it was hard for him to control his anger but he learn over the years. Soooo.. I'll wait...

Jeff! Mike Tyson was on DWTS ... the ITALIAN version of the show!
Not the same thing! NOT THE SAME COUNTRY!! Or did you NOT know Italy is a different country than America!!
It IS the same thing, however, in ONE respect ... a woman beater is a woman beater in ANY country. For men who have that tendency, it's NOT a one-time thing. VIOLENCE is VIOLENCE anywhere in the world!
And YOU defend it??
Its America everyone deserves second chance, geez give him a break

Tiffany dear ... the only people who deserve second chances are those who have the capability of learning from their 'mistakes' so that they don't continue to exhibit violent tendencies.
CLEARLY, Chris Brown is NOT one of those people!
I guess its better to OVER prepare, than to under prepare. I'll say this, if Chris do ANYTHING negative or whatnot tonight, what is left of his career will b officially done! So, yeah. I opt out from watching tonight's show(like I watch it on a regular anymore)too, that's a "nerves wreck" I can save for another day.

REMEMBER GOD IS ALL OVER YOU AND PEOPLE REMEMBER THIS, JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T FALLEN IN A WHILE DON'T MEAN IT'S NOT DOWN THE ROAD, PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER AND STOP JUDGING. MAY GOD BLESS YOU CHRIS, LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON THE SHOW. I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE WILL NOT LIKE WHAT I AM WRITING SO JUST SO YOU KNOW, SEND ME YOUR ADDRESS SO I CAN SEND YOU 35 CENT SO YOU CAN CALL SOMEONE WHO CARES CAUSE I SURELY DON'T. LOVE YOU.

I'll be "watching" via DVR. And will fast forward or mute the performance. I don't like his music, and he has shown he has NOT learned from his mistakes by his antics at GMA.
Shame on ABC for allowing him to perform on DWTS.

Well count me in as yet another who refuses to watch tonight's show. I wrote the network last week to voice my disgust with their decision to keep Chris Brown scheduled, after he proved once again that he hasn't changed a bit.
I sincerely hope their ratings tank tonight for making such a poor choice when it's been made very clear via discussion boards, FB etc for the past week how opposed to his appearance most people are.
Boo on you ABC for not standing up for your viewers. I believe in second chances, but this guy has been given more than enough and continues to fail miserably!
