Will 'Dancing' Audience Boo Chris Brown? Network Has a Plan
Chris Brown is set to perform on 'Dancing With the Stars' Tuesday night, and show insiders are very worried that the hotheaded performer may get booed on live television.
"It's a family friendly show that wants to keep its tone upbeat and happy," a show insider tells me. "The last thing they want to happen is for Chris to not get a very warm welcome and ruin the whole atmosphere for the entire evening."
Even the show's super friendly host Tom Bergeron warned that there might be trouble if he gets the chance to interview Brown.
"I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something," Tom told Ryan Seacrest. But Tom has nothing to worry about as Chris will only be performing this evening and not talking.
Chris recently freaked out backstage at 'Good Morning America' after being asked a question about assaulting his then-girlfriend,
Rihanna, back in 2009.
"We are prepared to cut right to commercial after Chris performs," an insider tells me. "If anyone boos you wont get to hear it on TV. The only thing that we are worried about is if the audience doesn't react well before the performance. The sound guy will do his best to pump up the music and drown out the sound from the crowd."

I will watch the show tonight....hoping that they do NOT edit out the boos.
Even Cheryl Burke has spoken out AGAINST him being on the show

I will not be watching tonight!!! I am mad at the show for having him on. He should not be on a family show. Even if he didn't cause a scene on TV the other morning, I still would not watch Dancing with the Stars tonight. I hope everyone Boos him!!!!

@Matt - If anyone in my family was domestically violent, they would't be allowed back in my home. I might forgive, but there would be no 2nd chances.

You are the most self righteous American to read in a blog. It is it said in the bible. Let one without sin cast the first stone. America has a history of killing and robbing and enslaving people. But, yet here I see a bunch of racist idiots on the planet condemning a young man. When you did you ever care about Rihanna or Chris Brown in their young lives. Oh yeah, when they gotten into a love battle in a car over two years ago. I watch Eminem and Charlie Sheen know woman beaters and drug addicts and felons. Still be seen on Television set across America. But, yet here we have a young 21 yrs.old picking the pieces of his life up. It's a shame to see a the lyching mob out to destroy him base on a single one time incident that happen over two years ago. Do I have to remind America that Rihanna has lifted the Order Of Protection. If she did that Chris Brown is not a bad as you think. Not to put down Rihanna. She was no angel in what transpired between her and Chris Brown that infamous night. Rihanna has had a history of domestic violent acts against her brother and parents. I think Chris Brown is wonderful young man trying hard to prove he still loves America and performing tonight is proof of his love. America GOD is Watching you and watching over Chris Brown.

How dare you call anyone concerned with Chris Brown a racist. That is crap and you know it. I don't like Eminem's behavior (all his F-bombs) or Charlie Sheen and I don't watch them either. And they still do very well. I'll forgive Chris Brown (who is really talented) when he changes his behavior (and I'm hoping he will). I just see double standards all over and I'm tired of it. I'll forgive ABC when they have Lambert on the show or some other ABC function.
I simply won't watch the show for the rest of the season. Why do the networks bring trouble front and center. There's an old saying - Don't trouble trouble and trouble won't trouble you!

It amazes me that a man who has beat up his girlfriend, taken a chair and broke out a window of a TV studio, can be on a family show and expect peole to just ignore his actions. I will no longer watch the show if they do allow this abuser of women to perform tonight. He needs to be boo'd off the stage. He's shown his contemp for women and he's had all the chances a person deserves.

Those without sin cast the first stone....Oh I forgot no one in America except Chris Brown has made mistakes and sinned in America....SMH

I am watching Dancing with the Stars and all I have to say is that Chris Brown did great. Most of the people stood up while he was performing. He was excellent. He led a group of karate fighters and other dancers.
Excellent performance. It does not matter what people say. Chris Brown may not be perfect but he can change and do better just like anyone else.

Except he HASN'T changed!!
He might be a good performer in SOME people's opinions.
But he's NOT a good human being!
I'm another one who will NOT be watching the show tonight. He isn't a STAR, so why would they put him on DWTS? Actually, half of the people they put on the show aren't stars, so I don't understand where they get these people from. Next thing you know they will be putting Willow Smith or Rumor Willis or some other no-talent BIMBO on there. DWTS has gone downhill since the first show and to put on a domestic violence violator and woman basher on the show is so disrespectful to all of your women viewers. ABC owes women everywhere an apology. I doubt that I will be watching much of anything on ABC anymore because of it. I think at least the other networks respect women more than this. This is a slap in our faces from ABC. Well, I hope that ratings payback is a b--ch!

The reason people aren't forgetting about Brown's violent crimes – because that's exactly what they are, not 'a mistake' or an 'incident' or 'troubles' or 'unfortunate event' – but violent crimes, is because of Brown himself.
The world can be very forgiving but in order to forgive, the perpetrator must do three things: take full responsibilty for their actions, make sincere apologies, and exhibit changed behavior. Brown has not even attempted to do any of the three. He just gets offended when anyone hands him yet another opportunity to step up and do the right things or even suggest he should.
Maybe one day he will grow up and be a man. But more likely, he'll end up in prison for decades after another violent crime or dead when one of his future victims or one of their relatives gives him some of his own back only double.
I hope they visibly upped security backstage. If I was part of the show I would insist on it – or hire my own for the evening.

Presenting abuser Chris Brown on DWTS is another blot on ABC's reputation, but they don't seem to get it. All they hear is ca-ching. Violence seems to be perfectly fine to the network. Well it isn't fine. It's obscene, hypocritical, disrespectful and demeaning and sets an awful example for young people who may want to watch this loser perform. I hope ABC takes the wrath of viewers as seriously as they do the all mighty dollar and yank Chris Brown from the show.

For all you haters out there. I watched Chris Brown on DWTS and his performance was excellent. Rhianna has forgiven him and is having a successful career. He is a very talented singer and dancer and I wish him the best. I've heard that his new cd is selling pretty good so his management team must be doing something right.

That should have told someone at abc there would be a problem.
If they are trying to figure out how to stop the booing, their not too bright in the first place.
Chris is a wart on all of society.
Chris is a no mannered punk in my book. A real man does not hit woman, or throw things to 'release the anger.'
I will not watch abc again.

Seriously we have to give ppl chances but at the same time there is a place and a time to do so I don't think putting this guy on the show is a good idea... but hey again can someone say ratings going up? everyone is gonna turn the channel just to see if he gets booed and yes the rate is gonna be GREAT sucks but thats the way TV works.
