Kirstie Alley's 'Dancing' Secret Weapon: George Lopez

Kirstie Alley has admitted she gets dancing tips from her 'Look Who's Talking' co-star and friend-in-Scientology John Travolta, but her real secret to success this season of 'Dancing With the Stars' is none other than pig-bomb thrower George Lopez.

"George thought he was funny calling Kirstie a pig, but she's had the last laugh," a 'DWTS' insider tells me. "Poking fun about her weight was a gift. It's just like when Kanye West ambushed Taylor Swift -- people are sticking up for the victim."

My source adds, "You watch, voting for Kirstie will go through the roof thanks to George."

We'll find out tonight on the results show whether Kirstie lives to dance another day. But as TV Squad puts it, 'DWTS' is quickly becoming "The Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley Show," so we're pretty sure the 'Cheers' alum will be safe.

Last Wednesday, George attacked Kirstie on 'Lopez Tonight,' saying, "[She] did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away." He kept the zingers coming: "Before the show, she went to the market and then she had roast beef," said Lopez, alluding to a line from the classic nursery rhyme 'This Little Piggy.' Lopez followed this up with a commercial featuring an animated pig, saying, in case the joke wasn't clear enough, that it looked like Alley.

Following a day of public ridicule, he tweeted an apology, saying, "I misjudged the joke. No malice was intended and I apologize to Kirstie."

Kirstie was not so quick to forgive or forget and did some tweeting of her own and even got personal: "@GeorgeLopez I don't need or want ur apology," she wrote. "I want your kidney dude...on behalf of ur X and all the women uv insulted...give it back."

(George's ex-wife famously donated a kidney five years before the couple split.)

Eventually, Kirstie did accept his apology but not before George made it clear that he would do whatever he could to make things right. Insiders tell me, "Just wait, if Kirstie invites him to the show, he would sit front row and cheer her on."

she's fat!! Has been for awhile. I wish her luck on DWTS. She was out of line to say what she said to George about his kidney. She should have just accepted the apology and moved on.
