Cheryl Burke and Kirstie Alley Snub Chris Brown Backstage at 'Dancing'
Chris Brown got a chilly welcome from the 'Dancing With the Stars' celebrities last night when he
performed in the ballroom, especially from Kirstie Alley, Wendy Williams and domestic abuse victim,
Cheryl Burke.
"As a victim of domestic violence, I don't agree with him coming on the show, but it's out of my control," Cheryl told
Extra on Monday night.
And Wendy has been vocal about her dislike for Chris ever since his bloody attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. After his 'GMA' blowup, she said on her talk show that she was "disgusted with this little boy." So you can imagine when the singer showed up to rehearse and perform for millions on 'Dancing,' the backstage love wasn't there.
"Usually when a big star comes in to sing, the entire cast is excited to meet them and spend the day together at rehearsals," a 'Dancing' insider tells me. "With Chris, no one wanted to be around when he rehearsed."
In particular, my source observed that "Kirstie wanted to spend as little time as possible around him. It was hard enough for her to be in the same building as him."
Even the show's super friendly host Tom Bergeron warned that there might be trouble if he got the chance to interview Brown. "I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something," Tom told Ryan Seacrest.
To viewers at home, Chris' performance went off without a hitch. Accompanied by a crew of backup dancers, Chris avoided getting booed and sang 'Yeah 3X' and a melody of his hits 'Forever' and 'Beautiful.'
But while everything went smoothly on stage, the same can't be said behind it.
"No one wanted anything to do with him," a 'Dancing' insider tells me. "Most of the cast think it's disgraceful that ABC invited him on in the first place, but after he smashed a window backstage at 'Good Morning America,' almost everyone participating in the competition thought he should have been canceled."

Good, throwing a fit and acting like a child is not acceptable. I think it's too bad that ABC rewarded him by letting him perform on DWTS. Clearly he still has anger issues.
Reply
Hater, he still is going to get paid and your still going to sing his songs
when he came on I changed the station....then went back when he was done...don't idolize a man that beats a woman....period.
No, Teena, I won't be singing his songs. Quite frankly, if one of his songs were being played right now, I wouldn't know it was him. I changed channels while he was on DWTS last night and I will not listen to any of his music.
I'm not a hater. I just don't think he has changed one bit. He is an abuser. There is no way I will enable that by listening to his music.
They cancel Adam Lambert from a show... They let him on a show... One Moment of "Oh why did you do that Adam"... Or Ones Violent Actions over Years... Makes you Think Doesn't It??? That Violence on Women is more Aceptable... than Ones Sexual Preference in this Country...
I would like to correct myself... I meant Voilence in any way is more acceptable... than one's sexual life... I have been speaking up a lot about how Staggering the Amount of Children who are Killed by Either their Care Giver or Their Own Parents. These Children are the True Genocide Vitims and they are right in plain sight... Everybody see's them... Yet These Children have No Voice... The Obama's Aren't... Yet he will send help to other Countries without Aproval from Congress... She will tell you how to Feed Your Child... Yet She is Not Saying Please Don't Kill Your Child... The Church's are to Busy Preying on your Children... So they take Advantage of these Victims... The Celeb's Are To Busy Doing Whatever They Can For People In Other Countries... These Genocide Victims Need A Voice... Anybody???
Teena, you need to get your head screwed on straight. Brown is a total loser, abuser, brat, and will end up getting himself killed when he messes with the wrong idiot. We also turned off the TV last night, rather than watch him and rather than see any advertising on any side of his performance. If the advertisers speak out, then perhaps ABC will stop this pathetic pandering for ratings.
I WON'T be singing his songs, Teena! Hell, even HE wasn't singing his songs! Obvious lip-synching so he could dance more.
He is an abuser with MAJOR anger management issues. He is a douchebag and we're DONE with him! He had his 2nd chance and blew it! (GMA)
Chris Brown's publicist has reportedly parted ways with the R&B singer after his destructive temper tantrum in a dressing room on the set of ABC's Good Morning America.
"LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN THROW THE FIRST STONE"
CHRIS BROWN IS FORGIVEN.... THAT'S WHY HE IS STILL A SUCCESS AND STILL MAKING HITS....
YOU PEOPLE SHOULD WORRY ABOUT THE DIRT YOU'VE DONE IN YOUR LIVES AND HOW GOD IS GOING TO JUDGE YOU !!!!!
AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU OPINIONS AREN'T STOPPING HIM.
NOW HAVE A NICE DAY :)
good for you guys,im sure you change the channel when Charlie sheen opens his maw and spews or what about Brad Pitt?he cheated on his wife,(do you guys change the channel then?)I bet NONE of you have supported Roman Polanski who drugged, raped a girl and continues to skirt the law(and win Oscars, with holly woods support no less). No Woody Allen movies for you right?cause he cheated on his wife WITH his daughter!!You guys are pure clowns, hypocrites, losers.DWTS is for Has beens dude, they should embrace whomeevers in the boat with them.Kristie Ally?Wendy Williams? who do I have to smack to make sure they dont talk to me?!!
I feel like what happened between chris and rihanna is really no one elses business. We really don't know what really happened in the first place. Yes he made a mistake, he apologized and there isn't much else he could do now. The whole Good Morning America episode was wrong of him but my take on it is look at Charlie Sheen and all his bs. Sheen has been doing so much bs for the last few months but no one is really reacting negatively towards him but feels sorry for him. Chris breaks a window and apologizes and now people want to crucify him for it. The way people's minds works is beyond my belief. All the stars are doing is working with him professionally, not personally-just do what you got to do and keep it stepping. No one can really judge the whole chris and rihanna situation because you already know how the whole media is, people seem more upset at chris then rihanna does!! People need to let it go already!!!
wrong AL
""LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN THROW THE FIRST STONE"
CHRIS BROWN IS FORGIVEN.... THAT'S WHY HE IS STILL A SUCCESS AND STILL MAKING HITS...."
you cannot know if he is forgiven, one is only forgiven if they accept Christ into their heart. and by the way he is living I do not see how he is living for Christ.
secondly, he would only be forgiven in the eyes of the Lord and not by his peers (us).
Please do not YELL and also please do not misrepresent Scripture.
It is easy for all to hate , I am not an overly religious person but I do beleive the bible says something about forgiveness ?
He is not a repeat offender - do any of those has beens or never beens on DWTS know him to judge him ?? I am sure they have all done a few things they are not to proud of , do any of these people posting know him ? how do you know he does not regret and ask for forgiveness everyday for the incident .
I do not condone what he did , I have taught my 13 yr old son to never even dare raise a hand to a women , no matter the reason .
But if he truly regrets his actions what is the time limit when we can start to forgive him ??? the public has forgiven Kobe (rape) and Vick ( dog killing ) - I guess this guy just is in the wrong line of work .
Chris deserves a second chance. God gives us many chances when we don't do right. And It says in the bible he who is without sin cast the first stone. Look at all the chances that Robert Downey Jr has gotten over and over again. Chris is young and had wnet through somethings with Rehianna, and he made a big mistake by hitting her, but we really don't know what happen in that car. I don't uphold what he did, she may have hit him as well. he is tired of people asking him about the situation that has long past, and he would like to move on with his future. Let this young man heal from the pain that he has caused himself and others
To whoever asked, no, I won't be watching Charlie Sheen either. Another loser. Yes, I turned of DWTS when Chris Brown came on. I won't watch him. I also wrote to ABC and let them know I was not thrilled with their choice of entertainment. And I will not watch any show Charlie sheen is on. As for forgiveness, I'll forgive both of them when they act like they are actually sorry. So far, they both are just acting like a couple of idiots.
I had a sister who died because of domestic violence. This man never served a day in jail. Took me years to forgive him.
If we can't forgive.... then we too have anger issues, right?
I think Chris Brown did a great job preforming on Dancing with the Stars last night.I believe Chris deserves a second chance at life at his career that God obiviously gave him his voice for all to enjoy. Now,I am not a Chris Brown fan.I do not follow him or his music. It is just not my taste. However I have to believe that Chris has had counseling and has learned to manage his temper,to know violence is not the answer.Domestic or otherwise. It would be such a waiste of talent,a beautiful voice if he has learned nothing from the incident with Rehana. She did not deserve what happened to her nor does Chris deserve to suffer for the rest of his life for the horiffic mistake he had made.Let us all learn from this as well.Afterall we are only human. We should all embrace Chris for hopefully his rehabilitation. For learning a new behavior a better behavior a more acceptiable behavior. He took his punishment like a man and is healing in a way that we all do.One day at a time.
totally agree...he needs to man-up and seek counseling..as a domestic violence victim myself I dont blame them for not wanting to be around him...and the only reason (who is not a fan) may slip and sing his songs is because the radio beats it into your head and you can't help but repeat..not sing..his songs..personally I think he is immature and needs to grow up!!
You people need to let him go. let him live his life an leave him alone! he paid his debt, it was two of them that where fighting an one is talking about what she did. you people are crazy
again leave him alone
It was a pathetic lip synced performance that ABC should have cancelled but they don't want do alienate the black viewers-- which there are quite a few on that show. Chris Brown didn't even aplogize on ABC, he went on BET!! He was too scared to go on ABC to apologize so he had to go to BET where he knew they'd support him no matter how wrong he is.
