Darren Criss Was 'Sleepwalking' Through New 'Teenage Dream' Performance

'Glee' breakout Darren Criss seemed a little off while performing his biggest hit for Perez Hilton's birthday party.

Criss took the stage to play and sing 'Teenage Dream,' and many wondered if the star was drunk, BuzzFeed reports.

The actor went to his Twitter account to clear up the speculation.

"You know you've made it when the main discussion over one of your performances is whether or not you were drunk," he wrote, adding the hash tag "iwasactuallysleepwalking."

'Teenage Dream,' as sung by Criss' character Blaine and the all-male group The Warblers, became one of the show's most popular songs, skyrocketing to No. 1 on iTunes.

'Glee' plans to release an album of just Warblers tracks on April 19.

Seems like the person taking the video was drunk. Or, must have Parkinsons!!! Hold the camera still, clown!!!! The guy is playing for an audience who's not even paying attention. What's with all the talking? If "I" had to perform before this crowd, I wouldn't care either!!!

Let's see, he's working on Glee. He can't go out without little girls and paparazzi folling him around. He was at a fund raiser just before Perez's party. And he's said many times he likes doing different takes on songs. Give the guy a break.

what a soulful performance! Darren gives it his all everytime. Talent just oozes from the guy... clearly not everyone has an eye for or ability to appreciate it. And he is clearly a good guy on top of it. Way to go...
