Edward Norton Engaged to Girlfriend of Six Years

Let out a deep sigh, ladies. Edward Norton is, in fact, engaged.

The Academy Award-nominated actor popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, producer Shauna Robertson, three weeks ago in India, according to The New York Post.

The 41-year-old actor and his fiancee, who is linked to producing flicks like 'Superbad,' 'Knocked Up' and 'Pineapple Express,' have been dating for six years.

Norton previously dated Courtney Love for three years and Salma Hayek for four years. Although Norton and Robertson's pre-engagement courtship seemed more than lengthy, this serial monogamist will most likely be crushing the hearts of Mrs. Norton hopefuls around the globe.

Norton's ex-flame, Love, told the Post of Norton's engagement, "Wow, it's about time. He's 41, they've been together for six years. He needs to have babies. I wonder what kind of ring he got her? He bought me a ruby."

Way to stir the pot, Courtney. We hope Norton won't be in the doghouse for getting his wife-to-be anything less than a killer rock.

Ms Love didn't mention when Ed bought her the ruby. He probably woke up one morning, looked over @ her and said: "Holy Sh*t, that's a fine mess you've gotten yourself into this time Norton"..He then went out and bought her the ring as a "Please go away present."
