Judge Judy Rushed to Hospital One Day After Surgery [Updated]

Judge Judy was hospitalized Wednesday morning, RadarOnline.com reports.

The 68-year-old TV show judge, full name Judith Sheindlin, was rushed to an LA hospital with nausea and intestinal issues, Radar writes. An ambulance came to the set of 'Judge Judy' at 9:12AM after a 911 call.

"The judge was feeling nauseous and had some intestinal discomfort and decided to go to the hospital to get it checked out," Judge Judy's rep, Gary Rosen, told Radar. "They are keeping her overnight for tests."

UPDATE: Judge Judy reportedly underwent oral surgery on Tuesday and "and didn't eat all day before the procedure and she had to take pain medication," a insider of the TV show tells RadarOnline. "She was told to take the day off but she said 'No, No I'll work.'"

UPDATE II: Judge Judy called TMZ to say, "I'm just exhausted, and my body was telling me it needed a day to chill." She added that she was "fine" and "at my age, I know my body."

"She was just sitting on the stand during her taping, and she started saying things that didn't make any sense," an insider tells Radar. "It was only during the second case. The judge said a couple of sentences that didn't have anything to do with the case, and then she stopped speaking and said she wasn't feeling well."

Judge Judy reportedly told her audience she would need to stop.

Judge Judy problem is taking pain medications on an empty stomach. OR she can't take the pain medication because of the side edfects. Get well soon, Judge Judy.

That must have been scary for you Judge Judy. I hope you are well and can return to the job you love soon. Perhaps you can go a little easier on others and yourslef and you will feel even better in the long run. You are a little tough on people in my opinion. Soften up and your stress will soften too. She 'was saying things that didn't make sense'? What's new about that? I have never liked her show but I do sincerely hope there's nothing seriously wrong with her physically and that she will be back to being her mean, nasty old self tomorrow. I don't like for ANYONE to be sick.

Sounds serious, I hope she did not have a stroke, could have been caused by a clot, depending on what type of oral surgery she had.

I've been waiting for someone who she keeps shutting up and continues on telling them how stupid they are to climb up over that stand and pop her in the mouth. Could it be that was what the oral surgery was for. If not, then someday....

I wish Judy well, but the rush to the hospital could have been avoided altogether, when I thought about a couple of things. 1. It said she was given pain medication on an empty stomach and taking any kind of meds on an empty stomach is just asking for trouble especially pain meds. Also, she was ordered by the doctor to take the day off, and she totally ignored that advice. This whole ER and over night observation could have been avoided, if she just followed the Dr.'s advice!!!! Get well soon, and next time, listen to your doctor!
