The 'American Idol' judges shocked the world last week when they saved contestant Casey Abrams from elimination, and Jennifer Lopez dished to Ryan Seacrest about their heart-pounding decision."We knew that it was kind of a radical decision because it was so early in the season, but to be quite honest...that is one decision that I haven't lost one ounce of sleep over," Lopez revealed on Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday morning. The 41-year-old judge is promoting her latest single, 'I'm Into You,' in addition to her judging gig.
Lopez, along with fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, discussed saving Abrams after America voted him off last Wednesday and cut his swan song early to deliver the good news. Though some viewers think it was too early for the judges to use their one and only save, Lopez has no regrets.

I like Idol this season. They were right to save Casey. After last nights performance, I think Stefano and Thia will go home tonight, with Niama and Haley not far behind. My favs, James and Pia.

Wasted save. Nothing special there. Like cgw says below, the guy covers up alot. I'd send him and Thia tonight if I had my choice. Funny how you think the best male voice should go...Stefano outshines the rest by far. Jacob is like the disco singer Sylvester brought back to life, James is too rough around the edges and screams way too much, and the other two can twang your last nerve. But the point is, they wasted that save on an average singer.
wasted save...the guy is the pits, he has no range and when he goes for a note he faulters, and tries to cover it up by changing it. I think he's awful. the only one up there with any talent is the country kid. He's a little schmaltzy, but he has some set of pipes on him and he has an 'it' quality. Carrie Underwood was country and she was/is great, Jennifer Hudson was/is great, the rest of them are no longer heard from...even the first one...whose name i can't remember.

...Kelly Clarkson! If you haven't heard anything from her you must be living under a rock.
I agree. Wasted save. I thought he was terrible last night and then the judges raved about him. I don't get it.

We have too many singers right now. This show is boring. We need only talent like Celine, Sinatra, etc. and not screaming voices.

Seems this dude is sick a lot and maybe he should concentrate on his health rather than this show. He does not seem to be able to handle the stress well.

I can't imagine why the judges choose to save this guy! He is not that talented! What happens now, if by some fluk someone like Pia get sent home? They showed their lack of expierence. Simon would never have saved this jerk.

Casey Abrams is a club/bar singer, he's not a universal figure and should have never been saved. He wasn't good last night but got raves from the judges which leads me to believe they (judges)aren't creditable.

I agree with the Judges. Casey deserves the save of the season. Some people just dont know talent when they see it. Good luck Casey!!

Well,at least this get the annoying save out of the way and we dont have to deal with all of the overdramatization of it every week.

I am enjoying IDOL this season. Definitely a gentler set of judges. I was prepared to dislike Jennifer Lopez but she has surprised me and I love that she seems to glow. Tyler is FUNNY and Randy seems to be nicer, more relaxed and has dropped his annoying "dawg" crap. Yessssssss!
