'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans: Fight Tape Sold for $45K

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans landed in some hot water this week when she was arrested for a brutal brawl. She now claims that the girl who instigated the fight sold video footage of the incident for $45,000, according to E! Online.

Evans claims Brittany Maggard, who can be seen pushing Evans into a fight with alleged victim Britany Truett, sold video of the scuffle to the media for some major cash. TMZ was the first outlet to air the video.

"She told me herself, and I got very upset," Evans said of Maggard. "I cried for two hours."

Video footage of the incident shows Evans in a verbal confrontation with Truett, which turns violent when Maggard pushes Evans toward Truett. That's when the fists start flying.

Evans was charged with misdemeanor assault and affray stemming from the incident. Maggard was charged with simple assault for her connection to the fight, with an additional charge of probation violation.

Truett, who claims to be the victim in the incident, was booked for simple affray -- a charge she plans to fight.

"I think we have a very solid self-defense claim, and we are continuing to investigate the matter," Truett's attorney, Adrian Iaplucci, said.

Meanwhile, Evans' lawyer plans to argue that the 'Teen Mom 2' star was set up in the fight.

Evans, who rose to reality fame after appearing on MTV's 'Teen Mom 2,' is due in court date for this incident April 26, though she'll appear on both April 14 and April 29 to answer charges for two separate incidents.

And her upbrining is an excuse? I'm sorry, but it's not. She knows what she SHOULD do, but does what she WANTS, regardless of the consequences. She puts herself first, instead of her child. Yes, teenagers are naturally selfish, it's just the age, but this goes beyond selfish into criminal. And over some boy who still probably doesn't have a job. He's riding her coattails for all he's worth, and she continually lets him.

Her mother just needs to make the custody permanent. At this juncture, I don't see any other choice. I wouldn't let her back into the house, period. I would be done, at this point. I mean, think about that cute little boy...do you think he needs to be around all of this drama? And I would certainly pull the curtain on the show. If I were the grandmother, I would tell the producers that we were done with it. No more. That little boy is going to start being affected by the drama going on around him. The sooner the cameras are off in his life, the better.
