Charlie Sheen's Live Show Bombs in Detroit

A sold-out crowd of more than 4,500 packed into the Fox Theater in Detroit on Saturday, curious to lay eyes on the media spectacle that has become
Charlie Sheen. But from all reports, it was a thoroughly disastrous night for the "warlock."
First, audience members heckled the warm-up comedian so badly, according to
RadarOnline.com, Sheen had to step onstage and intervene -- to no avail. The comic was booed off the stage, and house lights soon came up, causing the impatient masses to grow even more restless.
When the headliner himself launched into his first
'Violent Torpedo of Truth' performance, an hour after the disjointed show first started,
EW.com reports that a standing ovation for the former 'Two and a Half Men' star soon gave way to boos, jeers and walk-outs. Sources say many asked for their money back.
The concert is promoted by LiveNation as the launch of a 20-city tour with dates throughout the month of April. Inside, souvenirs were hawked to fans, such as $20 programs and $30 T-shirts ("F---ing Brilliant!" and "I'm on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen").
The flailing show featured scores of video clips, including fan tributes from YouTube, violent film excerpts and one of Sheen just playing Call of Duty. At one point, the TV actor reportedly shrugged off his poor reception with the comeback, "I've already got your money!"
A witness to the disaster reported more of Sheen's remarks, many delivered while he leaned on a lectern: "Tonight is an experiment"...."I am finally here to identify and train the Vatican assassin locked inside each and every one of you"...."Show of hands here who has tried crack? (Crickets) I don't do crack anymore, but this is a good f---ing night to do some crack"...."Is anybody else as confused by this s--t as I am? I wrote every word!"
Sheen tried engaging the audience by asking if anyone had questions, but when a woman asked for his best porn star story, he allegedly declined to open up about that topic.
The actor is due to bring his live show to Chicago tonight. The
Chicago Tribune reports that toward the end of the Detroit show, catcalls drowned out both a guest appearance by rapper Simon Rex and a video based on
Snoop Dogg's collaboration with Sheen, a new song all about "winning."
The
Detroit Free Press says Sheen's debut concert, advertised with the tag line 'Defeat is Not an Option,' ended 70 minutes after the star took the stage, with fans leaving "disappointed" and "angry." A local radio host, Drew Lane, said the tour will surely jeopardize Sheen's career: "It was bad...People were upset....He's a movie star, not a stand-up comic."

LOSING!!!!!
Sounds like 'theft by deception' to me. Sheen and his handlers knew he had no 'act', no organized means of entertainment. He gets up there and bombs like they knew he would without an act yet he says too bad, I already got your money. Ironically, these fools who bought the tickets got just what they wanted, only ten times worse. They came expecting another trainwreck but what they got was a tsunami. SUCKERS!!
Yet 4,500 folks DID buy a ticket - for a ring-side seat to train wreck - very telling. Voyeurism at its finest.
Charlie Sheen really should have read my book, "SOS Safely Obtaining Sobriety." He would have known it was too soon to take on something like this so soon. It is all about preparation for getting sober and staying sober and the in-between. It is not too late Charlie. Read "SOS Safely Obtaining Sobriety" by George Legacy. It is already changing lives for the better.
How can anyone laugh in his show after what he did lately? I don't like his personality at all.
kathy, bet u did not have the money. CS was working great in two and a half men. liked the show and tried to not miss one. if he is close to fayetteville, nc will get a ticket. i am disabled vietnam vet and i guess i feel like CS does. GOT NO RESPECT WHEN I CAME HOME and he is not getting it now. SO YES, I WILL GO.
Charlie.....you are not losing. You have lost.
Sorry charlie, gotta throw you back...you're
not starkist, dude.
Does anyone REALLY think this will stop people from wishing they could be like Charlie? Not bloody likely.

If you wish to be like Charlie Sheen, you hav serious problems.
And when was the Last time you parted the red sea. people all have BIG problems just others peoples problems seem just that BIGGER.
Isn't it funny how some would wish they could be living Sheen's F'ed-up life? As if living the loser life is okay as long as the cash makes it worthwhile. What do these people eat for breakfast...Paint Chips Ahoy?
good seinfeld reference!
I don't think so. The guy is obviously mentally ill. No amount of money is worth having a serious mental illness. He needs some Haldol and maybe some Seroquel with some BuSpar on the side.
To JBaer:

Well, let's see, now:
- Dumped by all three of his wives.
- His two young children were taken from his custody for their own safety.
- He mistreats animals.
- He was fired form his job.
- He badmouths everyone including his family, his wives, his co-workers, his producer & his network.
- His publicist of many years dropped him as a client.
- His own blood relatives won't even talk to him.
- He's a laughing stock.
- His inaugural live show bombed like the Enola Gay.
But, he's WINNING...
Oh, yeah... I REALLY want to be like Chucky boy...
People really want to be a train wreck? News to me.
Only an idiot would want to be like that tool.
This is so sad, I can't imagine what his family must be feeling. To have to helplessly watch the trainwreck that is Charlie Sheen. I have a strange feeling that after reading the reviews to his show, he will probably be sent over the edge and do something even crazier than he has as of yet. He seriously needs help!

Yes, this is sad. Charlie Sheen has gone so far off the deep end it is ridiculous. The drugs and booze has addled his brain so badly it is disgusting. Too bad too, he was really quite a talented actor at one time. My heart goes out to those children and his family.
Sheen still has plenty of other theaters where he's gonna pull this same crap. Before this is over it could end up the biggest rip-off in show biz history.
