Charlie Sheen's Live Show Bombs in Detroit

A sold-out crowd of more than 4,500 packed into the Fox Theater in Detroit on Saturday, curious to lay eyes on the media spectacle that has become
Charlie Sheen. But from all reports, it was a thoroughly disastrous night for the "warlock."
First, audience members heckled the warm-up comedian so badly, according to
RadarOnline.com, Sheen had to step onstage and intervene -- to no avail. The comic was booed off the stage, and house lights soon came up, causing the impatient masses to grow even more restless.
When the headliner himself launched into his first
'Violent Torpedo of Truth' performance, an hour after the disjointed show first started,
EW.com reports that a standing ovation for the former 'Two and a Half Men' star soon gave way to boos, jeers and walk-outs. Sources say many asked for their money back.
The concert is promoted by LiveNation as the launch of a 20-city tour with dates throughout the month of April. Inside, souvenirs were hawked to fans, such as $20 programs and $30 T-shirts ("F---ing Brilliant!" and "I'm on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen").
The flailing show featured scores of video clips, including fan tributes from YouTube, violent film excerpts and one of Sheen just playing Call of Duty. At one point, the TV actor reportedly shrugged off his poor reception with the comeback, "I've already got your money!"
A witness to the disaster reported more of Sheen's remarks, many delivered while he leaned on a lectern: "Tonight is an experiment"...."I am finally here to identify and train the Vatican assassin locked inside each and every one of you"...."Show of hands here who has tried crack? (Crickets) I don't do crack anymore, but this is a good f---ing night to do some crack"...."Is anybody else as confused by this s--t as I am? I wrote every word!"
Sheen tried engaging the audience by asking if anyone had questions, but when a woman asked for his best porn star story, he allegedly declined to open up about that topic.
The actor is due to bring his live show to Chicago tonight. The
Chicago Tribune reports that toward the end of the Detroit show, catcalls drowned out both a guest appearance by rapper Simon Rex and a video based on
Snoop Dogg's collaboration with Sheen, a new song all about "winning."
The
Detroit Free Press says Sheen's debut concert, advertised with the tag line 'Defeat is Not an Option,' ended 70 minutes after the star took the stage, with fans leaving "disappointed" and "angry." A local radio host, Drew Lane, said the tour will surely jeopardize Sheen's career: "It was bad...People were upset....He's a movie star, not a stand-up comic."
In the latest POP-arazzi, we caught the word on the street about James Franco teaching at NYU:

No, he doesn't need help, he just needs to be locked up somewhere and forgotten about. He's not worth remembering.
sheesh, right, what did anybody expect. of course there is yelling and booing and nobody is satisfied, the mindset going on would breed nothing else. charlie has a soul sickness at this point he is probably beyond aid. Nothing short of a profound spiritual awakening can relieve his condition at this point. just one girls humble opinion, i may be wrong but then again i may be right.
EH,
What a terrible thing to say about another human being. Especially one that appears to be having a serious mental break down. I guess I could see your point of view for someone like Charles Manson. I feel sorry for Charlie Sheen and his family and co workers. This didn't happen over night and it will not be fixed over night. I just hope that Mr. Sheen gets the real help he needs before it is to late.
Charlie Sheen,
The Fossilized Tooth so called Actor is now known as the:
OFFICIAL DIPSTICK of DETROIT.
Dude, Get some real talent
Sincerely,
Johnny Angel

Agreed, love your name!
They were fools to buy the tickets to begin with.

Yup agree 100%. Anyone who bought a ticket to watch this idiot spew his crap deserves what they got, a crap show of a moron saying moronic things. If you expected more than that you are a fool and deserve to NOT get a refund.
I totally agree with you. I don't understand what these people expected to see, he has ranted on tv and on the internet for about 4 weeks now, what else would he have to say. Why pay good money to see this guy act like an idiot.
Sheen was heard mumbling 'So long suckers' as he snuck out the back door to avoid the mob looking to get their money back. These are the same schmucks who cause traffic to slow to a crawl, hoping to see a bloody head-on collision when it's only a fender bender.
As the old saying goes a fool is born every minute.
Sad to see him go to this leval.. He really needs to go away and get his head on strait.. It should take about a YEAR!

Tell me why he should go away when people like you who claim to dislike him still reads every story written about him?
As long as people like you keep reading and posting about him he is not going anywhere. Maybe you should think about that.
To bfrjds - huh? Seriously, what? So you're only reading everything written about CS to judge everybody else? Your post was hilarious.
leval? strait? Wow, you are quite the idiot!
What did these people THINK they were going to see? Duh

hello, Mr. Sheen? this is reality calling. hello? hello! well, still no answer. guess i'll just leave ANOTHER voice mail and hope he gets back to me soon. we have something very important to discuss.
He WAS a movie star! The last movie he made was Hot Shots part Deux right? He has been on the small screen since playing exactly the same character he has always played- boozing, womanizing, shallow! TADA!! If folks who bought the tickets are disappointed, they are stupid! What did they expect? He is a RAVING LOONEY!! I hope they don't get their money back! That will teach them to be diserning next time!

I have to wonder what kind of a person would want to hear Charlie talk, and pay for it?
The man is in terrible shape, all self induced though.
Its hard for me to feel sorry for anyone who lives ths way.
Filthy rich, and chooses to use crack, not very bright.
It must be people whos life is a mess, that would pay to see this train wreck. I guess to them, seeing Charlie at his worst makes them feel better about their own lives.
Its Charlie's family I feel bad for.
