Charlie Sheen's Live Show Bombs in Detroit

A sold-out crowd of more than 4,500 packed into the Fox Theater in Detroit on Saturday, curious to lay eyes on the media spectacle that has become
Charlie Sheen. But from all reports, it was a thoroughly disastrous night for the "warlock."
First, audience members heckled the warm-up comedian so badly, according to
RadarOnline.com, Sheen had to step onstage and intervene -- to no avail. The comic was booed off the stage, and house lights soon came up, causing the impatient masses to grow even more restless.
When the headliner himself launched into his first
'Violent Torpedo of Truth' performance, an hour after the disjointed show first started,
EW.com reports that a standing ovation for the former 'Two and a Half Men' star soon gave way to boos, jeers and walk-outs. Sources say many asked for their money back.
The concert is promoted by LiveNation as the launch of a 20-city tour with dates throughout the month of April. Inside, souvenirs were hawked to fans, such as $20 programs and $30 T-shirts ("F---ing Brilliant!" and "I'm on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen").
The flailing show featured scores of video clips, including fan tributes from YouTube, violent film excerpts and one of Sheen just playing Call of Duty. At one point, the TV actor reportedly shrugged off his poor reception with the comeback, "I've already got your money!"
A witness to the disaster reported more of Sheen's remarks, many delivered while he leaned on a lectern: "Tonight is an experiment"...."I am finally here to identify and train the Vatican assassin locked inside each and every one of you"...."Show of hands here who has tried crack? (Crickets) I don't do crack anymore, but this is a good f---ing night to do some crack"...."Is anybody else as confused by this s--t as I am? I wrote every word!"
Sheen tried engaging the audience by asking if anyone had questions, but when a woman asked for his best porn star story, he allegedly declined to open up about that topic.
The actor is due to bring his live show to Chicago tonight. The
Chicago Tribune reports that toward the end of the Detroit show, catcalls drowned out both a guest appearance by rapper Simon Rex and a video based on
Snoop Dogg's collaboration with Sheen, a new song all about "winning."
The
Detroit Free Press says Sheen's debut concert, advertised with the tag line 'Defeat is Not an Option,' ended 70 minutes after the star took the stage, with fans leaving "disappointed" and "angry." A local radio host, Drew Lane, said the tour will surely jeopardize Sheen's career: "It was bad...People were upset....He's a movie star, not a stand-up comic."
In the latest POP-arazzi, we caught the word on the street about James Franco teaching at NYU:

So agree. Sheen is a total mess. But, yeah, it is his choice. A grown man, acting the fool. It has gone on "forever". Alot of familys have them. What a shame....
i think people watch because they have never witnessed an actual trainwreck while it is happening-it is usually after the fact-and you only get bits and pieces-you never know if it is fact or fiction-while watching charlie dissinegrate right before our eyes-it is indeed fact...the truth....thats what pulls people in-maybe they thought he would do something very peculiar on stage-ya never know with that fool.....
Oh Charlie, pride goath before the fall. Go back to work.

So the question is...why do we give this clown any attention? If the media, tabloids, us simply ignored this fool, he'd be miserable. As for now--he is a f***ing rock star, and he's loving it!

I agree. Charlie knows his career is over for the most part. He decided to go out with a bang. Sold out concerts at top dollar. He took the money & ran. Addict or not he is a genius!!!!
Does anyone remember the Charlie Manson interview? This is what listening to CS sounds like. If you have half a brain, you knew what this was going to be. He will cancel within the next 2 0r 3 shows. He has a drug/alcohol addled brain, no going back now. This like watching a train wreck in slow mo. You dummies that spent 125 to see this dope deserve to lose it. Funny sh*t!

Why does America find this unfit role model so interesting?

What did the audience expect from this lunatic? Anyone who actually paid money to see this loser
got what Charlie did to his prostitute girlfriends. For those of you who continue to think Charlie
is wonderful because you like him on TV, you better lay off the weed for a while.

What does weed have to do with this? Sheen is a coked up drunk, not a stoner.
Detroit is enough of a disaster with out importing another one from Hollywood!

In a year from now he will be broke or in jail, when someone thinks there better than everyone, they have to be brought back to earth, he needs help, and to stay out of the publics eye for now!!

Never thought I would pity a multi-millionaire. His "tour" has crashed and burned.

This is what has happen with such a relaxed , cool way we have accepted drugs in our culture. he is very sick and run by chemicals. We should be rounding him up and admitting him. But yet we watch him like a circus act. Our society is sad , just sad We owe it to his kids to get him treatment and not exploit him like this

What is the matter with people? Did you expect a stellar performance? The guy is a train wreck and the people who want to see him are like the ones who slow down at an accident to see blood. If you paid to see him you are as sick as he is.

I HOPE THEY WILL FIND A CHARLIE REPLACEMENT, ALAN, JAKE, BERTA, EVELYN, JUDITH,& HERB, ROSE, ARE GREAT IN THEIR ROLES....A SHAME....
