Charlie Sheen's Live Show Bombs in Detroit

A sold-out crowd of more than 4,500 packed into the Fox Theater in Detroit on Saturday, curious to lay eyes on the media spectacle that has become
Charlie Sheen. But from all reports, it was a thoroughly disastrous night for the "warlock."
First, audience members heckled the warm-up comedian so badly, according to
RadarOnline.com, Sheen had to step onstage and intervene -- to no avail. The comic was booed off the stage, and house lights soon came up, causing the impatient masses to grow even more restless.
When the headliner himself launched into his first
'Violent Torpedo of Truth' performance, an hour after the disjointed show first started,
EW.com reports that a standing ovation for the former 'Two and a Half Men' star soon gave way to boos, jeers and walk-outs. Sources say many asked for their money back.
The concert is promoted by LiveNation as the launch of a 20-city tour with dates throughout the month of April. Inside, souvenirs were hawked to fans, such as $20 programs and $30 T-shirts ("F---ing Brilliant!" and "I'm on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen").
The flailing show featured scores of video clips, including fan tributes from YouTube, violent film excerpts and one of Sheen just playing Call of Duty. At one point, the TV actor reportedly shrugged off his poor reception with the comeback, "I've already got your money!"
A witness to the disaster reported more of Sheen's remarks, many delivered while he leaned on a lectern: "Tonight is an experiment"...."I am finally here to identify and train the Vatican assassin locked inside each and every one of you"...."Show of hands here who has tried crack? (Crickets) I don't do crack anymore, but this is a good f---ing night to do some crack"...."Is anybody else as confused by this s--t as I am? I wrote every word!"
Sheen tried engaging the audience by asking if anyone had questions, but when a woman asked for his best porn star story, he allegedly declined to open up about that topic.
The actor is due to bring his live show to Chicago tonight. The
Chicago Tribune reports that toward the end of the Detroit show, catcalls drowned out both a guest appearance by rapper Simon Rex and a video based on
Snoop Dogg's collaboration with Sheen, a new song all about "winning."
The
Detroit Free Press says Sheen's debut concert, advertised with the tag line 'Defeat is Not an Option,' ended 70 minutes after the star took the stage, with fans leaving "disappointed" and "angry." A local radio host, Drew Lane, said the tour will surely jeopardize Sheen's career: "It was bad...People were upset....He's a movie star, not a stand-up comic."
In the latest POP-arazzi, we caught the word on the street about James Franco teaching at NYU:

I read these stories about him because it is interesting to me to see how so many people want to be like Charlie Sheen. So Sad and Scary. I feel sorry for Charlie because it is obvious that he is so disturbed. No one is helping him by paying to watch his meltdown. It is in my opinion that he needs to be institutionalized for a while or he could die people. He is only getting worse on his own and his fans are not helping during this crisis. Everyone that buys into his "WINNING" world is only feeding his insanity. He has proved that he is a danger to himself and others. I feel extremely sad for his children and his ex'es. They are scared to death that he is going to kill them. Nice feeling, huh? That is OK? He needs to "LOSE" and admit that he has a problem before he can get better. It is really a shame, he had it all. I pray for him and his family during this difficult time.

These morons got exactly what they deserved. They must high or on crack when they purchased their tickets. I don't see any "normal" person going out and making such a poor choice. Maybe they've learned something through the whole ordeal.

All you Charlie Sheen sympathizers, he isn't sick or suffering from mental problems, he doesn't deserve our sympathy or best wishes. He is a spoiled manipulative narcissist. He thinks we care about him and that he is different from the rest of us and therefore has set out on this course of self destruction to prove it. He's a long term loser, there will be flashes of brilliance and lucidity but long term this guy is a lost cause and he cares absolutely nothing about anyone or anything but himself. Let him wander off into obscurity, it's what he deserves.

I have wondered what kind of peron would pay to see this crap myself. They all got exactly what they deserved in my opinion.
Now, hopefully, Charlie will realize he needs some help.

Why throw away good money just go to your local mental hospital and you could see the same thing for nothing. The bad part about this goof is he's running loose and not in a rubber room.

Good for all those people. If they wanted to give their money away, why not put it to a worthy cause like aid for Japan. But no, they wanted to see Charle act crazy. Well folks, you got what you paid for

I still like Charlie I just wish he could get the help he needs. I'm sure in his mind all the rest of us are off base and he thinks he's fine. Too bad it can't be like when Britney Spears went on that same roller coaster ride his dad can't be the named conservator and get him help. If not Martin Sheen then somebody with their head on straight that can get the guy back to the Charlie Sheen we have all known and loved. I wouldn't go to one of those shows on a bet and it's all I can do now to watch 2 1/2 men without looking at him and wondering how long ago his mind snapped. Get well Charlie, don't die at 45!
