Sir Elton John was joined by Tom Hanks (playing Michael Caine) for a goofy 'Saturday Night Live' sketch called 'Knights of the Realm,' featuring a short list of British celebs who have been knighted. The conclave gathers to brainstorm a solution to the U.K.'s newest, greatest threat: a dragon attack.Andy Samberg, as Bono, donned giant shades and waxed on about artistry, until he was rudely cut off by 'SNL' host Elton John, who couldn't resist a chance to slam Bono's latest project: the ever-delayed, repeatedly dangerous Broadway musical 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.'
The show continues filling seats on the Great White Way, but that hardly makes it immune to mockery from Elton John, composer of the far more acclaimed production, 'The Lion King.' Both 'Lion King' and 'Spider-Man' were conceived by beleaguered director Julie Taymor, who probably didn't appreciate her old collaborator's dig at her latest, much-maligned venture (Taymor exited 'Spider-Man' last month).

Isn't Elton about 2 foot taller than Bono? I don't think anyone is afraid of anybody really, in that set of people.
does anybody even watch that sad example of a show anymore.i havnt watched since aykroyd belushi murray curtain morris radner and newman were on.the show sucks since eddie murphy and steroid boy piscopo were on.and it doesnt look like it is going to get any better.

It's nice to see Elton being Elton. His critcisms of Billy Joel about his affinity for alcohol was great. Everybody in the business is afraid to directly address Billy Joel's drinking problem, but EJ throws it right out there! So much for any new tours involving those two. About Elton making fun of Bono, I'm glad somebody is. Guess what Bono, after all that money you raised over the years, Africa is still a mess. Stop trying to make believe your saving the world, and try saving those actors you put a risk at every "Spider Man" performance. That show will go down as one of the biggest flops in Broadway history, if it ever really opens!

How else was he going to act, people were going to pay him big money to watch him get high and drink, the same thing he did on tv... Who wouldnt have done that, and then they had the nerve to BOO at him???? What were you GENIUSES in DETROIT expecting, PHANTOM OF THE OPREA ...lol .......... You got exactly what he is full time....
Now if this had been a famous actress, she would have been tossed in JAIL in NYC during the famous, hooker and crack in the bathroom scene and her kids taken away from her ... But because its Charlie Sheen and hes a guys guy, its ok, hes funny ........
Typical male response to it all ............You guys think hes cool and that he actually really doesnt have to pay all the hookers hes with, he just does it to be nice ... lol ......
