Rosie O'Donnell Thinks Chris Brown Haters Are Racist

Controversial singer Chris Brown has found a surprising ally in former talk show queen Rosie O'Donnell, who believes Brown's haters are racist.

"I just don't know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else," O'Donnell said on her Sirius XM show 'Rosie Radio.'

When Rosie's executive producer implied there is a racial aspect at play, Rosie replied: "I totally think there is, and I also think it's why he felt he was safer with Robin Roberts [who is also African-American]." Rosie added that she felt "mildly angry" at Robin while watching her interview Chris.

Following the interview and performance on 'Good Morning America' Chris Brown threw a chair at a reinforced window with such anger that the window cracked, all because Robin dared to ask the singer questions about beating his former girlfriend Rihanna.

"Chris Brown violently beat his girlfriend and almost threw a chair through a window and currently has the number one album on the Billboard charts, and Rosie feels sorry for him because he is black?" a TV insider tells me. "This kid is rich and powerful and keeps getting away with bad behavior. If Rosie was backstage at 'GMA' when the staff was so frightened they had to call the police, she would be singing a very different tune. This has nothing to do with the color of his skin but rather his disgraceful behavior."

You're perfecting willing to hate anyone especially if they don't look like you. Denial is worst than racism any day. If it was Bret Farve that was convicted of Dog fighting everyone would've wanted to push it under the rug and forget it right away. The funny thing about this story is that Eminem and Charlie Sheen would agree with Rosie on this. For the record Chris Brown has granted several interviews on this past issue already.

bet she's an apologist for Charlie Sheen? he has been charged with, and i think convicted of, domestic abuse or some behavior related to hitting women. but he's on the "ok" list with Rosie and her hollywood buddis. how about Mel Gibson? bet she doesn't support him.

Women beaters never get a break in my book. Looks like he hasn't learned from his jail time, either. If you know anything about abuse, throwing and breaking things is a short steps from beating on a woman. Fortunately, Robin Roberts isn't "his" woman and had a lot of backup.

To call this issue racist is pure ignorance; this is a woman issue. I'm disappointed in Rosie O'Donnell. In the past, I've pretty much leaned to her side when she's been verbally attacked repeatedly by various persons.

Just because Chris Brown "did his time" and has a new album doesn't mean that we forget what he did to Rihanna. We'd like to know if he's sorry for what he did, and see if he has enough remorse to turn over a new leaf. Guess we have the answer to that one, huh?

Try to understand this,Sheila. It IS a race issue because the same people that are calling for Chris Brown's head are lining up to see the idiot Charlie Sheen on stage. In the meantime Sheen has beaten and abused more women than Brown has even looked at. I'm not condoning his behavior,by the way,just stating a fact. I'm not a Rosie fan,either. In fact, I generally can't stand the woman. But even a broken clock tells the correct time twice a day.

People quit listening to anything she had to say a long time ago, if they ever did listen to her at all. How about just keeping the important true facts on the table, Chris has a temper and he abused a woman. I don't care if he was famous or not, this behavior is unacceptable period. I have been a defender of Rosie O'Donnell in the past, but I believe on this one she is wayyyyyyyy off base. He abused Rhianna. Has she seen the photographs of her beaten up face? He also had a temper tantrum at NBC a week or so ago where a chair went through a window. You don't have to be a racist to know he needs some anger management.
