Rosie O'Donnell Thinks Chris Brown Haters Are Racist

Controversial singer Chris Brown has found a surprising ally in former talk show queen Rosie O'Donnell, who believes Brown's haters are racist.

"I just don't know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else," O'Donnell said on her Sirius XM show 'Rosie Radio.'

When Rosie's executive producer implied there is a racial aspect at play, Rosie replied: "I totally think there is, and I also think it's why he felt he was safer with Robin Roberts [who is also African-American]." Rosie added that she felt "mildly angry" at Robin while watching her interview Chris.

Following the interview and performance on 'Good Morning America' Chris Brown threw a chair at a reinforced window with such anger that the window cracked, all because Robin dared to ask the singer questions about beating his former girlfriend Rihanna.

"Chris Brown violently beat his girlfriend and almost threw a chair through a window and currently has the number one album on the Billboard charts, and Rosie feels sorry for him because he is black?" a TV insider tells me. "This kid is rich and powerful and keeps getting away with bad behavior. If Rosie was backstage at 'GMA' when the staff was so frightened they had to call the police, she would be singing a very different tune. This has nothing to do with the color of his skin but rather his disgraceful behavior."

People can be forgiven. Why keep digging in an old wound? I agree with Rosie, what other young white person has been doggedly persued about one mistake. Forgive and forget! Take a break people! Leave him alone!

I don't think many people care what Rosie thinks anymore. Chris Brown hurting a girlfriend and then getting mad on TV shows that he really hasn't changed much. Does Rosie think its okay for a guy to be hitting girls. I don't think she would be happy if anyone hit her kids. It does not matter what color your skin is it just isn't right to be hitting people.Please don't rush to start your own show again, I don't know what everyone is going to think of you.

I am surprised Rosie would defend an abuser given she is a survivor of abuse.
Battering knows no race nor socio-economic boundaries.
Chris Brown is an abuser and his actions on GMA prove it. He is accountable for his behavior today or 2 years ago. If Chris Brown wants the world to see him as being "CURED" from his abusive behavior then don't throw chairs around and destroy property because you don't like a hard question that someone asked you.
Chris, own your behavior now or in the past and get the help you need. You need a batterers' program. Battering is about the Power and Control you have over your intimate partner, not your control or lack of control over your anger. Also batterers blame others for their behavior and Chris still blames others, now it is Robin Roberts.
To Rosie, stop blaming racism, that will keep Chris Brown abusing others because he will believe your BS as an excuse for his behavior.

I think Rosie is as big a punk as Brown, I can not stand any man who mistreats Women and Children, he is no man, just a two bit punk, and so is Kanyah (or whatever) West, they both belong in prison, and Rosie probably should be with them.

My dislike of Chris Brown stems from the fact that he likes to beat women, gets violent when he gets angry, and appears to have the emotional self-control of a two-year-old. It has nothing to do with his race.

I hold all partners to the same standard, regardless of race, gender or spousal role. You don't hit someone you love.

Chris Brown is contemptible on many levels, not just the beating of Rihanna. He is self-absorbed, full of rage, and will explode again and again. Rosie on the other hand, is truly a lost soul. She is a loose cannon, and no allies. Therapy may be an option for her. Brown needs to be held accountable for his childish outrageous outbursts.

Umm yea ok...we all hate him because of his race, NOT the fact that he has MAJOR anger management issues. That makes perfect sense. I do not like Rosie O'Donnell because of her attitude...am I going to be accused of not liking her because she is white (as am I)? Exactly...it doesnt make sense!
