Rosie O'Donnell Thinks Chris Brown Haters Are Racist

Controversial singer Chris Brown has found a surprising ally in former talk show queen Rosie O'Donnell, who believes Brown's haters are racist.

"I just don't know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else," O'Donnell said on her Sirius XM show 'Rosie Radio.'

When Rosie's executive producer implied there is a racial aspect at play, Rosie replied: "I totally think there is, and I also think it's why he felt he was safer with Robin Roberts [who is also African-American]." Rosie added that she felt "mildly angry" at Robin while watching her interview Chris.

Following the interview and performance on 'Good Morning America' Chris Brown threw a chair at a reinforced window with such anger that the window cracked, all because Robin dared to ask the singer questions about beating his former girlfriend Rihanna.

"Chris Brown violently beat his girlfriend and almost threw a chair through a window and currently has the number one album on the Billboard charts, and Rosie feels sorry for him because he is black?" a TV insider tells me. "This kid is rich and powerful and keeps getting away with bad behavior. If Rosie was backstage at 'GMA' when the staff was so frightened they had to call the police, she would be singing a very different tune. This has nothing to do with the color of his skin but rather his disgraceful behavior."

I'm gonna teach my kids that they can do anything they want as long as they use racism as a defense for anyone that disagrees with them

Seems to me Rosie is simply using this incident with Brown to get attention...perhaps in a bid to get people to watch her new show. Race has absolutely nothing to do with why people dislike Brown; anyone with brains knows that. Brown is disliked by people because he beat a woman up (and he really didn't think there was anything wrong with that), an action Rosie - as a woman and a human being - should be condemning. His bad behavior elsewhere doesn't help matters. Unfortunately, it's the people who continue to buy Brown's albums and go see his shows who are enabling Brown to continue his bad behavior...if he's not held accountable by the courts, then he should be held accountable by his peers and those who support him with their hard earned money. Until then, he'll just continue to behave like an idiotic, irresponsible, demanding, spoiled child. 'Celebrities' are people like anyone else; the only difference is they get paid way too much money for their entertainment, and this leads them to believe they're above others and able to do whatever they like. They get slaps on the wrist for behavior that would land a non-celebrity in jail...and yet people continue to support them. It's up to the people to stop doing this and show these 'celebs' that they're not above anyone, and that their actions actually make them less of a person than most.

Rosie could be right. Why did Robin go there? It's all been said already and she wouldn't let it rest. Why can't people leave his past alone? The kid made a mistake and paid for it. Must he pay all of his young life? Move on. He has a temper problem that he's still working to control. He is still a young person and has to mature a lot more before he totally understand how it works.

She is absolutely right. Chris just wants to perform and reach his fans and people keep bringing up OLD MESS that both parties have moved on from. It's so obvious he trusted Robin and she betrayed that. If he's there for an album release, why are you asking about a restraining order?? Things that make me shake my head at the media! His performance on DWTS proves he's a talent that can't be denied. Charlie Sheen HAS no talent, and yet he's gained the most supporters imaginable. Shame on our society. leave Chris Brown alone.
