Kate Hudson, What Are You Drinking?

A pregnant Kate Hudson took some time off from her hectic life in Hollywood and relaxed with pals in Buenos Aires.

The actress has been spending time in Argentina with boyfriend and baby-daddy Matt Bellamy, whose band, Muse, is touring. Also on the road? Hudson's 7-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.

The mom-to-be worked up quite a thirst during her stint in the South American country, although her choice of beverage came as a bit of a surprise to onlookers.

The actress was spotted sipping from what looks like a large glass of red wine. While some believe that imbibing in moderation while pregnant is OK, many experts disagree.

A New York-based OB-GYN who has not treated Hudson says of her choice of beverage, "Right now, no one really knows what amount of alcohol is harmful for the fetus, so it's recommended that you don't drink at all during pregnancy."

The doctor's suggestion? Abstain. "We just don't know enough."

i drake one time dering my pregnecy i forgot when my friend ofered me a drink of her soda she laced it with vodca that was befor ether of us knew i was pregnet i have maby drake 4 or 5 times since and my baby girl with no problem what so ever will be 5 in june i am not a drinker i ternd 21 while i was pregnet and didn't drink even thou my jurk brother tried to get me to drink hevely for my birthday he didnt know i was pregnet but he did know that alcohalism and adiction runs in the family

Toward the end of my pregnancy with twins my OB suggested I drink 1/2 cup of beer daily. It was the last trimester and I was never really hungry. But then again, there wasn't much room for my stomach! HA

Billions of healthy babies have been born to women who drank and smoked during their pregnancies....you probably are one of them. Millions of children with disabilities have been born to women who never smoke or drank in their lives. Fetal Achohol Syndrome is a reality, but both genetic disposition and enviromental conditions must be present. I know doctors use the scare tactic and tell women that just one drink could cause this condition, but there just is not the evidence out there to prove this. The evidence shows you have to be drinking pretty regularly to damage your fetus.

BAD, BAD, BAD idea! I know a woman who drank while pregnant and her
daughter was born with a cleft palate and symptoms of what they now
call Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Had to have surgery and is now grown, but it is still noticeable.

Well, that settles it! Mother knew a woman who drank while pregnant and the child was born with a cleft palate. What more proof do we need? Who need scientific research with irrefutable proof like this?
Funny, since women stopped drinking and smoking while pregnant, Autism has exploded. Perhaps alcohol consumption during pregnancy prevents Autism!?!?!?
