Kate Hudson, What Are You Drinking?

A pregnant Kate Hudson took some time off from her hectic life in Hollywood and relaxed with pals in Buenos Aires.

The actress has been spending time in Argentina with boyfriend and baby-daddy Matt Bellamy, whose band, Muse, is touring. Also on the road? Hudson's 7-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.

The mom-to-be worked up quite a thirst during her stint in the South American country, although her choice of beverage came as a bit of a surprise to onlookers.

The actress was spotted sipping from what looks like a large glass of red wine. While some believe that imbibing in moderation while pregnant is OK, many experts disagree.

A New York-based OB-GYN who has not treated Hudson says of her choice of beverage, "Right now, no one really knows what amount of alcohol is harmful for the fetus, so it's recommended that you don't drink at all during pregnancy."

The doctor's suggestion? Abstain. "We just don't know enough."

This character has typically displayed a self-serving attitude, so it's no surprise if she's drinking alcohol while pregnant. But I'll say that I once knew a woman who also was infinitely selfish and drank alcohol and smoked during her pregnancy. The child was born with Down's syndrome. She eventually grew up and was shuttered away.

Child abuse starts in the womb? Then abortion is murder and the person should be charged accordingly. If you want to worry about someone drinking, start with yourself or the alcoholic that REALLY needs helps. Volunteer time with someone sobering up and help them. Do not worry yourself with a celeb, help the 'everyday' person~~. BTW, if a little alcohol causes 'Fetal Alcohol Syndrome' or deformities, why don't all of us some form of them. Think of times past when all mothers drank! And that mantra 'do as I say, not as I do'— mind your own business and manage your own house first!!

Morons. Women have been drinking wine since the beginning of time - a little bit in moderation won't hurt anything. How ludicrous. In Europe, it's a dietary staple. Tell French women to forgo wine during pregnancy and see what happens. BTW - low FAS rate in Europe - highest in US, which has less overall alcohol consumption. Reason is alcoholic women are having babies with FAS, not moderate wine drinkers.

Not true. Your facts are not up to date. Women who are social drinkers have babies with disabilities along the spectrum of permanent brain damage caused by alcohol. The very latest reputable research show alcohol causes damage to the developing fetal brain at the smallest levels. There is nothing a pregnant woman could take that would be more damaging than alcohol to her baby. France and Italy have high rates of FASDs.

Looks like Pepsi or Coke to me. Give the girl a break. She has never been known as careless. Her morals, or lack thereof, are none of our business. NOT our job to judge her. Her life is just "out there" for the whole world to see. You know....."let he who is without sin cast the first stone.........." Not sure ANY of us could hold up under the same scrutiny. Ms. Hudson was also recently photographed smoking a cigarette, which is equally-disturbing and profoundly harmful to her unborn child. Lead, benzene, arsenic, ammonia, formaldehyde--just a few of the 4000+ toxins and carcinogens contained in tobaccco products--are affecting the fragile, developing lungs of her child...a child who will be born addicted to nicotine. After birth, the baby will have to suffer through the agonizing throes of nicotine withdrawal. And the lung damage that occurred en utero is permanent. It is never acceptable to knowingly cause harm to another person.

Who cares about Kate Hudson. She is a terrible mommie role model for the son she already has. All these men she brings into his life and then they leave. And this guy will go too. Her and Jennifer Aniston are losers with sob stories. Such weak weak women.

Some Dr.'s DO think it's ok to have alcohol during your pregnancy, and if that's what she believes, then so be it. Get OUT OF YOUR BOXES!!! And if you can't do that, then at the very least, quit judging everyone else!!!

A friend of mine didn't find out that she was pregnant until she was 3 months along. She smoked and the doctor told her not to quit because the baby is used to it and quitting would put stress on the baby because the baby was used to it. Imagine that?
