Kate Gosselin Worries About Having to Get a Real Job

TLC is offering up all new episodes of 'Kate Plus 8' starting tonight. And although the new season pulls out all the stops, including taking Kate Gosselin and her kids to Australia for the premiere, insiders tell me that everyone, especially Kate, is worried that she might not receive a warm welcome back.

"This season Kate has been told to bring her A-game," a TV producer tells me. "If her ratings drop to the 1 million mark this will be her last season, and then Kate would have to get a real job."

An insider assures me the new 'Kate Plus 8' episodes pack the goods: "You are going to see Kate spend another night camping, but this time without Sarah Palin. You will see her explore Sydney, meet with aboriginals and even swim with sharks in an attempt to win back viewers."

TLC gave the reality star a lucrative opportunity to have her own show after she and Jon called it quits. But despite the hype, Kate's spinoff, 'Kate Plus 8,' did not bring in the numbers TLC had hoped for.

The series debut brought in 3.4 million, but the second episode dropped 33 percent to 2.2 million viewers before stabilizing with around 1.6 million viewers per episode -- way below the staggering 10 million that tuned in for the infamous episode in which Jon and Kate finally announced their divorce.

Still, a source close to Kate tells me that TLC continues to have faith in the Gosselins. "TLC hadn't really done 'Kate Plus 8' in a series way until now -- it was just sporadic specials that people had trouble finding," my source says. "TLC does believe in her."

She will have to get a real job as soon as TLC cancels her show. She is taking her kids to school, does she have to wear heels? Looks stupid to me.

looks stupid that's putting it mildly she could put on some clothes and dress like a real mother. what kind of nurse was she. she wpuld't know how to work.

theses kids have had enough...it's time they are away from the cameras....and they are old enough for kate to take a nursing job...It doesn't have to be 12 hour shifts.....everything runs it's course....When she had Palin on ....that did it for me...

I can't imagine wearing high heels just to take your kids to school. Who is she trying to impress...the other Mother's..ha, ha...I'm sure they could care less...Kate just put on some flip flops and get casual for a change!!!

I believe she worked labor and delivery at a local hospital where she lives. I doubt that would support her lifestyle in her mansion, but, it's a decent living.

Eventually she will have to do just that get a real job because she has no talent unless she gets lucky like she did on DWTS but other than that I don't think she will star in any popular shows. I don't think that her blond hair will help her much in starring in a hit show. Let's get real.

Kate is a mother...not a celebrity. She is a sad, pathetic woman. Having 8 children does not create a celebrity...talent does.

Looks like she is practicing for a new postion of Hooker by the way she is dressed in this picture. The other thing I noticed is how miserable all the kids look, I do feel bad for them. It will be interesting in another 10 years to read the tell all book the older kids will write about Mommy Dearest.

I think Katie is more worried about having to work a real job on her own and not putting on a show and I mean a show with her children in front of a camera. She is so phony and working a nine to five job like a normal person may be too hard for her....

There is no way would I let her take care of any of mine Relative's. To me Kate is like the kid's Sugar Mama's because the only thing she do is making sure the kid's are in front of the camera and make sure they paid for the Mansion they gave her.

Look how much she has spent on her body image. She has stated herself "she" wanted to stay in showbiz - that's why she doesn't want to take a "normal" job. Kate, get over yourself - we no longer care and I for one, stopped watching a long time ago. I am sorry, but I don't care if you swim with sharks or met aborigines, I am not interested. I view you as vacuous and phony.
