Kate Gosselin Worries About Having to Get a Real Job
TLC is offering up all new episodes of 'Kate Plus 8' starting tonight. And although the new season pulls out all the stops, including taking
Kate Gosselin and her kids to Australia for the premiere, insiders tell me that everyone, especially Kate, is worried that she might not receive a warm welcome back.
"This season Kate has been told to bring her A-game," a TV producer tells me. "If her ratings drop to the 1 million mark this will be her last season, and then Kate would have to get a real job."
An insider assures me the new 'Kate Plus 8' episodes pack the goods: "You are going to see Kate spend another night camping, but this time without
Sarah Palin. You will see her explore Sydney, meet with aboriginals and even swim with sharks in an attempt to win back viewers."
TLC gave the reality star a lucrative opportunity to have her own show after she and Jon called it quits. But despite the hype, Kate's spinoff, 'Kate Plus 8,' did not bring in the numbers TLC had hoped for.
The series debut brought in 3.4 million, but the second episode dropped 33 percent to 2.2 million viewers before stabilizing with around 1.6 million viewers per episode -- way below the staggering 10 million that tuned in for the infamous episode in which Jon and Kate finally announced their divorce.
Still, a source close to Kate tells me that TLC continues to have faith in the Gosselins. "TLC hadn't really done 'Kate Plus 8' in a series way until now -- it was just sporadic specials that people had trouble finding," my source says. "TLC does believe in her."

Worried about working a real job? This reality "star" made over 4 million last year alone. Has she spent all that money? IF she managed well all the millions she has made so far, she would never have to again. Such dumb stories they plant.

I was going to say the same thing. I doubt she will have to work again. I don't think she's a spendthrift like her ex. All the money she's made, invested well, and she can stay home and read Cosmo for the rest of her life. I doubt she's afraid of a real job - she doesn't likely need to get one!

seriously, the premise that made the show good was seeing the everday things that happen within the family on a day to day basis.. I stated tuning out when she took them to disney and and to New york, ect, . this is not real life stuff. take the kids home and film there.

Awww, if she has to work a real job, no one will be paying attention to her. No cameras in her face, might have to give up tanning, nails, fake boobs and expensive hair cuts. My heart bleeds for her. Now I have to go to my job, which I hate.

One would think she would worry more about her kids then her ratings. They really need a good mother and which she continues to prove she's not. Oh well, wouldn't watch the show if they paid me.

Is this story aimed at increasing viewers for her show? Doubtful she'd have to worry about money is she'd tone down the lifestyle to something less star-studded. Four bedroom, two bath suburbia. Public school. Dress Barn, Wal Mart, Target and Macy's (on sale days only). No cooks or nannies. Guess we'll be seeing her new show, "Kate Takes a Job" next.

THANK YOU! I am a stay at home mom, with7 kids, one in college, one with special needs, and my husband lost his' great paying job with the economy turn and we get by on a 4th of what we used to bring home. We live in a very small 3 bed room rancher. So if Kate had to get a real job to support her family, she can. I doon't feel bad for her not one bit. Live like the rest of America.
Give me a break. I think she's made enough money off her kids already to not have to get a job even if the show is cancelled. Unless she's spending it faster than she's making it.

Get a real job? Never mind the money from TLC. What about the books she wrote? The magazine covers she and her family were on? Even if her family unit didn't break up, one day her children were going to grow up and no one would be interested in them and filming would be finished. That's right: the expensive trips, hair extensions, hotels, plastic surgery, house, security, entourage all had to be paid. If she only shut her mouth, her life would never have gotten out of control and she should have saved for a rainy day. Go back to nursing, you can still support your family in the normal fashion. I use to admire her when she clipped coupons and acted like a real mother. I feel sorry for her kids and want to tell her to shut up and stop whining, there are real people out there starving!

She was on the Today show repeating the same old thing, "my kids love being filmed," "the cast is like family" blah blah blah. What a bunch of horse dooey. Get over yourself Kate and get a job. We are not responsible for your kids which by the way you said yourself you couldn't afford the twins let alone 8. Should have taken birth control instead of fertility pills....duhhh!!!

Somebody PLEASE go to mongomery county pa and file a temp custody order agaist her! By the time she finds out it won't matter if she was or is the parent!!!! Its done all the time mind you to GOOD parents so what makes her more special? Hey Judge B is a king on that!!!!!
