Kate Gosselin Worries About Having to Get a Real Job

TLC is offering up all new episodes of 'Kate Plus 8' starting tonight. And although the new season pulls out all the stops, including taking Kate Gosselin and her kids to Australia for the premiere, insiders tell me that everyone, especially Kate, is worried that she might not receive a warm welcome back.

"This season Kate has been told to bring her A-game," a TV producer tells me. "If her ratings drop to the 1 million mark this will be her last season, and then Kate would have to get a real job."

An insider assures me the new 'Kate Plus 8' episodes pack the goods: "You are going to see Kate spend another night camping, but this time without Sarah Palin. You will see her explore Sydney, meet with aboriginals and even swim with sharks in an attempt to win back viewers."

TLC gave the reality star a lucrative opportunity to have her own show after she and Jon called it quits. But despite the hype, Kate's spinoff, 'Kate Plus 8,' did not bring in the numbers TLC had hoped for.

The series debut brought in 3.4 million, but the second episode dropped 33 percent to 2.2 million viewers before stabilizing with around 1.6 million viewers per episode -- way below the staggering 10 million that tuned in for the infamous episode in which Jon and Kate finally announced their divorce.

Still, a source close to Kate tells me that TLC continues to have faith in the Gosselins. "TLC hadn't really done 'Kate Plus 8' in a series way until now -- it was just sporadic specials that people had trouble finding," my source says. "TLC does believe in her."

She is going to have to find one heck of a sugar daddy that will be willing to raise someone elses kids..lol....single mom with 8 kids? are you fricken kidding me...NO WAY!!!!!! too much of a drama queen...

i see more of her on tv than her children. But why is she broke, was there a trust fund set up for the children or did her and jon both spend it all. As for her clothes it's time to start dressing like a grown-up and throw away the teenage clothes.

Get a real job Kate! Most of America is more than sick of your whining and your bratty kids, however, I don't blame the kids...if their mom was home more and not all about herself, they might act better? Kids pretty much emulate their parents... Your gravy train is OVER! I wouldn't watch your show if they paid me! Yuk! Go back to nursing, a good profession, spend time with your kids (non travel and in the public eye) and stop trying to be something you aren't!

She doesnt have to get a job, I will support her. I think she is the cats meaow. At 6ft 1in brown hair blue eyes i think she would be fine with that, LOL She is what a real women is not some high in the sky over bearing female trying to take over a mans world. Men work, women raise kids. Anything beyond that, hell brakes loose.

Perhaps she should start thinking about her children and make sure they have time to grow up and have a good family foundation. She made lot of money off them .It is time to be a mom. Getting a real job? I do not think she will ever have to do this.

I know plenty of hardworking moms, many with multiple jobs, would be happy for a nurse's salary. After several seasons of the show, DVD sales, DWtS, and three books, if Kate cannot support her family it is a reflection of her own irresponsibility.

If her show fails, she will no doubt have to depend on being subsidized by the taxpayers of Pennsylvania just as she was (and insisted it was her right) soon after the children were born.
