Video: Kirstie Alley Takes a Tumble on 'Dancing with the Stars'

It may not have looked like a massive tumble, but Maksim Chmerkovskiy clearly injured something rather painfully toward the beginning of his rumba with Kirstie Alley on 'Dancing with the Stars' this week.

Chmerkovskiy said his "thigh just gave out."

In a number filled with emotional meaning for Alley, it was a shame they got off to such a shaky start.

Even after they recovered their feet, Chmerkovskiy held off a couple of beats as he grimaced in obvious discomfort. But then he regained himself and his partner, and they continued the dance.

The judges were very supportive of what happened, and more significantly, their recovery. "Despite the fact you had a little mess up at the beginning, something magical happened after that," Carrie Ann Inaba said of their performance.

Len Goodman echoed her sentiments, saying the pair "came back stronger" after the fall.

The only thing that's "hot as hell" about Kirstey Alley is the insides of her thighs as they rub together when she's walking.

...Maks is a pro....if he felt he couldn't do it ...he wouldn't chance it....they practiced it over and over....so you don't make sense.....she kept her cool and they recovered ....she is a gem.....

I'm SO sorry Kirstie and Maks took a tumble! I said it earlier, but I want to say it again ... I've never been a Kirstie Alley fan. But I am SO impressed with her dancing!! Honestly! The first week I was hoping she'd tank so she could just go home. But then I saw how well she can dance, and now I actually look forward to seeing her! VERY impressive!

I know people will make rude remarks about her size, and the fact that they fell. Some people just have to be mean and nasty. I, for one, am really rooting for her! I don't expect she will win, but I hope she stays in for a long time because I really enjoy watching her!

I totally agree. Actually, I had my doubts about the entire cast of stars this season, but I was so very wrong. I admire how they're are all putting in so much effort; especially Kirsty. And Maxim is a total stud for pushing through the pain and finishing the routine.

I love Kirstie. She is a trooper. The fact that Max hurt himself didn't deter her one bit for fishing up a very nice performance. I hope she wins the whole thing.
