Glenn Beck to Leave His FOX News Show

Glenn Beck is ditching his mega-popular show on FOX News. According to Business Insider, the polarizing host will "transition" away from the show later in 2011, but continue working with the network.

"Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year," reads a press release.

Beck will be slated to "develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News' digital properties."

While the press release is quick to tout the successes of Beck's show, no explanation is given for his departure. Beck's show has aired daily at 5PM since early 2009.

"Mr. Beck has been contemplating an exit from Fox for some time," the New York Times writes. "Two of the post-Fox options he has considered, according to people who have spoken about it with him, are a partial or wholesale takeover of a cable channel, or an expansion of his subscription video service on the Web. His company has been staffing up - making Web shows, some of which have little or nothing to do with Mr. Beck, and charging a monthly subscription for access to the shows."

Happy to hear. Used to be a big fan of Glen Beck, but now-he doesnt even seem to be the same person. He used to be all about fairness, and being good to each other, now-he seems to be full of ugliness.

AOL is now out of the closet since they bought the Huffington Post. Just a straight up left wing organization. As for Beck, well when a person shows you clips of certain items to back up what he says is true and the nay sayers still spew their lies there is nothing left but to wait and see who is telling the truth. And if what Obama has done isn't enough proof than nothing is. By the way food prices are on the way up just as Beck said they would be. Hope you can eat your words for dinner.
