During James Franco's appearance on 'The Colbert Report' he managed to get into an intense argument with Stephen Colbert over who had been the bigger fan of 'Lord of the Rings' author J.R.R. Tolkien growing up.
"I hear that you were a big Tolkien fan," Franco told Colbert. "I was the biggest Tolkien fan."
But Colbert rose Franco's challenge with gusto.
"You were not the biggest Tolkien fan, Colbert fired back. "I was the biggest Tolkien fan."
Franco immediately disagreed, and what followed was a debate over happenings in the Tolkien universe that was probably quite illuminating and endearing to all the other "biggest Tolkien fans" out there.
However, to everyone else, it sounded like two famous people having a gibberish conversation, during which, it has to be said, Colbert sounded like more of a Tolkien expert than Franco. The dispute finally came to an end with them agreeing on something about an "Elvenking" and then shaking hands.

She was included in the Doom of the Noldor because she went over with Feanor, but she wasn't in league with his aims and her ban would not have been lifted had she been.
