Lauren Conrad Lands Another Huge Book Deal

Former 'Hills' star
Lauren Conrad must be doing something right when it comes to writing teen novels. The fledgling author recently landed another three-book deal with HarperCollins, according to
UsMagazine.com.
Conrad's book 'L.A. Candy' reached No. 1 on the New York Times Bestseller list and will spin off the character of Madison for her new trilogy, 'The Fame Game.'
"We took the mean girl of the [L.A. Candy books], spinning her off," Conrad said.
Her new series will revolve around reality television -- something Conrad knows all about, considering she starred on MTV's 'Laguna Beach' and 'The Hills' before leaving to pursue other interests in 2009.
"This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that's all she's ever really wanted," she said. "[Madison] has fun with the press, she enjoys the attention, she welcomes scandal."
Based on the description alone, we can't help but draw comparisons to
Heidi Montag, who famously feuded with Conrad in front of MTV's cameras. However, Conrad promises none of the characters are based on real people.
"No. We have fun with it! We kind of take [Hollywood] stereotypes," she said.
Somehow we don't quite believe that one.

Real writers can't even get a publisher to look at their work, but this bimbo gets a 3-book deal because she was on a lame "reality" show, and apparently teenage girls will buy anything.

^ I know! I've been trying to get published for over a year and can't even get an agent to read past my query. So frustrating to see people like Lauren Conrad, Hilary Duff and Snooki from Jersey Shore get what so many people have actually worked hard for.
