...I like it that Oprah succeeded in a life with a lot of strikes against her. I like the way she interviews her guests but I do not follow her religious and political views. She has her right to do so as well as I. My beef is that there are a lot of ignorant people who don't follow political news and admire Oprah so I think her influence over the presidential election was enormous even though he was the most inexperienced candidate to ever run for office. Hope next time she just sends the check.

Its not the first racist thing she has done ("My grandmother told me to work for white people cause they give the best gifts. So,I hired a bunch of white folks to work for me") but this plague she helped bring upon us is something even she, "the Queen of Tv", cannot escape. She poisoned her own well with contempt and bigotry. I certainly agree with you. However, I find this hard to believe. Oprah as a very successful African American has the right to put her support behind any candidate of her choice and not worry about her viewers who may support others.

Also I am very sure she still supports Obama, and if she is giving in to the public and keeping her support " silent" so as not to receive a negative backlash from viewers then she is not the strong person that I believe her to be and will certainly lose the support and respect of many Americans.
