Video: Regis Can't Get Through Secret Door to Attend Dinner Party

On 'Live With Regis and Kelly', Regis Philbin relived a private dinner party he attended with several well-known comedy giants. But, of course, he initially had a bit of trouble getting in.

"Regis had quite a night last night," Philbin said, referring to himself in the third person. "Regis had dinner with ... Dave Letterman, Don Rickles, Steve Martin. I mean, it was a meeting of great comedic minds."

"Wait. Did any of these men know you were there?" asked Kelly Ripa, seemingly determined to deflate her co-host.

Undeterred, Philbin explained that dinner was held in the private dining room of an exclusive French restaurant where attendees entered through a secret door.

However, when Philbin and wife Joy arrived, gaining admittance was no easy matter. "So, we go to the secret door, Joy and I, and, of course, it's locked," he said. "That means Regis has to expose himself in front of all those people!"
