MTV Says Yes to Two 'Jersey Shore' Spin-Offs

It was inevitable that the 'Jersey Shore' starts would end up with their own MTV shows, right?

Not only is their highly-rated reality series constantly playing on the network, the Macaroni Rascals also show up in various commercials (cashews, Miracle Whip, Xenadrine) and pop culture events (the roast of Donald Trump, Wrestlemania). Now, three of the party-loving reality stars will have shows of their own.

MTV announced today that it has ordered full, 12-episode seasons of two different 'Jersey Shore' spin-offs, one from DJ Pauly D and one from Snooki (aka Nicole Polizzi) and J-Woww (aka Jenni Farley).

"The 'Jersey Shore' cast is at the center of the show's ongoing success, and Nicole, Pauly D and Jenni have become household names as a result of their unique, sometimes outrageous and often hilarious personalities," said MTV exec Chris Linn in a statement. "We're excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships. Both series are fun, fresh ways for us to evolve what is an already successful brand for us."

Neither show has an official title or air date yet, but MTV did release descriptions of each series.

Pauly D's show will follow the DJ and his entourage as he plays shows across the country. From the network's press release: "This series follows Pauly D's jet-setting and often hilarious life on the road as one of the country's most in-demand DJs. Aiming to become one of the world's most successful and recognized names in music, viewers will get to see Pauly D chase his dream with the help of the best friends he grew up with in Rhode Island by his side."

As for the Snooki/J-Woww show, "Always inseparable and ready to get the party started at the shore, viewers will get to see how they deal with life and love when the vacation is over in this 12-episode series. The locale may be different, but the friendship is sure to remain the same."

Well said, Will! I already wrote to Misfit Tele Vision and put in my two cents about this stupid Jersey Shore show. I personally have NEVER watched this trash, nor do I ever intend to.

I think that is good. After watching the current season of "Jersey Shore", I realize that everyone needs a break and move on. I would like to know Pauly D and JWoww better. I already know enough of Snooki.

Yay!!! I am excited to see the shows... And to answer the question of whose watching someoine with two higher ed degrees who just needs some mindless entertainment after a long day of dealing with people whi take themselves too seriously!

Don't tell me...your two higher degrees are in Mixology (bartender) and Cosmetology (barber).

I personally love Jersey Shore because it's what a lot of people go through and the cast is awesome.It sucks that Vinny and Mike left but, everyone will go on.I can't wait for Pauly D.Jwoww,and Snooki's show it's gonna be awesome.1. Because we are gonna see a different side of Pauly D. and 2.I love those guys.!!!!So excited!!!!Can't wait!!!!
