John Legend isn't happy with Donald Trump. But it's not so much The Donald's supposed ambitions to run for president in 2012 that have upset the Grammy-winning pianist; it's Trump's insistence on questioning Barack Obama's nationality."He needs to stop saying that racist bulls**t birther s**t," Legend told told Vulture last night in New York City. "Quote me please. He should be ashamed of himself. It's awful, really."
Trump recently said on 'Good Morning America' that Obama's purportedly cloudy childhood fills him with doubt. "You may go back and interview people from my kindergarten," Trump said. "They'll remember me. Nobody comes forward [for Obama]. Nobody knows who he is until later in his life. It's very strange. The whole thing is very strange."

Do you not think if Obama was not born in this country, someone would produce a birth certificate already. Why is he the only President asked for this anyway hmm

Obama is not the first president to be asked about this, he is the 4th. Look it up.
He's not the only one who was asked for one.....he's the only one YET to produce one! If he's on the up and up - don't you think he would have put all this speculation to rest already!!
I only know John McCain he was born in Panama
Someone should explain to john what racist means. Was it racist when he bashed bush?

I always giggle when white people say racism and slavery is over, and is no longer valid. Well white people let me clue you in. You will be at the top of black and African people's s*** list until the planet opens up and explodes. And if racism is over with why every time I turn on the television I see or hear one? And by the way, bush senior and Schwarzenegger family members were brown shirt Nazis, and I never heard not one question about that.

You are so right -- there is not a clue in the minds of some!
I am sick of Donald Trump. He's got to always be up in everybodies face via the media. If anyone thinks he would be a good respectful president for this country, they have a very clouded view.

To all of you who are in denial and refuse to acknowledge that any non-white person in America has to work at least twice as hard for half the credit (to include our President) ....perhaps you should walk a day, just a day, in our shoes and see how you are ignored, disrespected and dismissed.
And to those who believe slavery was over 150 years ago, check the payroll records, opportunities and attitudes of those who hire and employ. You will find very few minorities in positions of power, and those who are are being paid far less than they should.
This country - it's citizens - specifically it's caucasian population, have lied so much that they actually believe their rhetoric and that we are all afforded the same opportunities!

Trump never mentioned race.... Furthermore, how many african americans voted for Obama solely because he is black? Isn't that racism, not voting for "the white guy"?

How many white Americans chose not to vote for Obama because he is black?
Your observation makes no sense. If you examine that voting the trend of African Americans, you will see that they predominantly vote democratic. The last time I checked, the majority of democratic presidential candidates have been mostly white, and they have in fact received overwhelming support from African Americans. Your analysis only serves to highlight your ignorance
There are lots of folks who are really good at ripping on other people.

No more racist than those that voted for McCann because he is white.
asking for birth certificate is racist? what exactly did he say that was racist?

When was a birth certificate required for the other presidents or presidential candidates? This is nothing but racist BS from the birthers. I thought Donand Trump was above this but obviously, he is not. I am not going to purchase any products advertised on his TV show, hope others will boycott as well.
PS. I am white as snow.

There's never been a question before... We've never had a president that had a non-American father before. I don't see it as a race issue. But when you have family members claiming that the person in question was born in another country, surely you can understand why people might wonder. Don't you get this?
The fact that one parent was a U.S. citizen for at least five years ensures that the child is also a natural-born U.S. citizen, regardless of birth site. It's in the U.S. code.
Actually, Tex, you're wrong. If what you are saying is true, there would be no debate. The fact is, the law refers to a person who has served in the military or the state department. Mr. Obama's mother did not qualify in either case.
