John Legend Tells Donald Trump to Quit 'Saying That Racist Bulls**t' About Barack Obama

John Legend isn't happy with Donald Trump. But it's not so much The Donald's supposed ambitions to run for president in 2012 that have upset the Grammy-winning pianist; it's Trump's insistence on questioning Barack Obama's nationality.

"He needs to stop saying that racist bulls**t birther s**t," Legend told told Vulture last night in New York City. "Quote me please. He should be ashamed of himself. It's awful, really."

Trump recently said on 'Good Morning America' that Obama's purportedly cloudy childhood fills him with doubt. "You may go back and interview people from my kindergarten," Trump said. "They'll remember me. Nobody comes forward [for Obama]. Nobody knows who he is until later in his life. It's very strange. The whole thing is very strange."

Legend isn't the first star upset with Trump this week; Bill Cosby got riled up on the 'Today' show on Thursday when asked about Trump's presidential ambitions, saying "the only thing he's running is his mouth."

"Oh, please, with Donald Trump," said an exasperated Cosby. "Take him home with you. He's full of it."

Sadly the "race" card has been played since the day Oprah introduced Obama as our 1st black President. The word is used so much by those who disagree with anyone or anything that it is now meaningless. It's now the "it" word to use if you can't think of anything intelligent to say.

Hey John, in case you haven't noticed the Presidential campaign for 2012 has started and Trump is not the nasty one. I read an article on line that quoted a poll result for Mississippi that said that almost all Republicans in that state wanted the law of the land to be against interracial marriage. Pure political B&^%S*_+! These people running political campaigns don't care that they are hurting real HUMAN BEINGS and stir up racial hurts. They lie and cheat for political gain & don't care about you and me. Don't fall under the political spell that these sub human beings are conjuring up. Look at the issues and make intelligent decisions.

Well, obviously, Obama needs to go door-to-door with his birth certificate--his REAL one, mind you, not one of those fake ones that states and municipalities issue to the rest of us--to satisfy all of the American people.
Or twice, since some people might not be paying attention the first time the birth certificate issue is raised and settled.

So...referring to what someone else says as racist, makes you racist? Does that in turn make everyone here who calls John Legend a racist, a racist themselves?

Words have weight. Racist is a heavy word to throw around. Perhaps some people should check the definition of a word before they use it. Just a thought.

Donald Trump is so full of garbage , he loves the camera and will drag out this bs about running for president as long as he can. JW, the name on your post in itself, is a perfect exaple of the doule standard for what qualifies as racism... If I were to title my post with JGwhitepride, the immediate impression of me, would be as a racist.

The issue of Obama's birth certificate has NOTHING to do with race, it all about where he was born.... I didn't realize that asking a black man where he was born, had racial undertones.

... The arguments defending Obama on this issue are already weak, and trying to divert attention from that fact by claiming racism, makes it even weaker... (If that's possible)
