'You Can't Push Barbara': Star Jones Talks Absence From 'The View'

Star Jones is everywhere on the small screen these days, except for one show: 'The View.' The 'Celebrity Apprentice' star, best-selling author and NeNe Leakes' arch enemy visited my HDNet show to chat up her new novel
'Satan's Sisters,' and she addressed reports Barbara Walters is personally blocking her from ever showing up at 'The View' again.
"You can't push Barbara into doing anything! Are you out of your mind?" Star said when asked if her friends on her old show (Joy, Sherri and Whoopi) could persuade their boss into having her on (or to do "anything" for that matter).
This week, Star appeared on HLN's 'The Joy Behar show,' where the two of them met up years after Star was famously pushed out of the 'The View.' Joy made it very clear she had nothing to do with the guest bookings at her other job but seemed to enjoy every minute chatting and challenging her former co-host.
A spokesperson for ABC tells me the Barbara reports are utter nonsense. "Since the show began, Ms. Walters has made it her practice not to book the program," the statement read.
Star tells me she has yet to be contacted by the bookers of the daytime hit, "but I've heard obviously from Joy and Sherri and Whoopi. I mean, these are my friends."
But the reason Barbara
might have had a hand in keeping Star from returning to her former home, this time as a guest, is because the book
'Satan's Sister' is based on five women on a talk show where "alliances are forged, careers are made, and bridges are burned."
The matriarch of the fictional show, called 'The Lunch Club,' is a character named Maxine Robinson, the first African-American to become a network news anchor. By comparison, Barbara was the first woman to have that job. Oh, and in the book, Maxine is conniving and borderline nasty.
Come on Barbara, make it happen! Trust me, it will be TV GOLD! To see my entire interview with Star Jones, tune into
'Naughty But Nice' on Saturday at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, only on HDNet.

BARBARA WALTERS needs to go, it's her time, she is old school and all she does is cuts people down, She has no give and take left, she thinks her opinion is all that matters. IT"S TIME FOR HER TO GO.

They most definitely ARE a bunch of wind bag NOTHINGS and nobodies. There is more intelligent and DIGNIFIED conversation in a laundromat or check out line at the market than the moronic screaming matches on that waste of time.
It's BEYOND BELIEF how other morons quote THEM as a source.

Why would Barbara Walters invite Star Jones back to visit "The View?" Star isn't liked by the viewers of The View! Star was a self centered disaster in the making.

I think no one recognized Star.

Jones is overly opinionated and hard to tolerate. I don't miss her on The View. My mother watches The View so I see parts of it from time to time. I don't like that show because the hostesses never shut up and let the guests speak. They constantly interupt and talk over one another. I think that is rude. I, for one, was taught better manners.

I have lost all use for Star Jones since seeing her on the Celebrity Appretice. I thought I admired her. Nope! Sorry!

Geez, does anyone really watch the View anymore? These gals talk over themselves, they are always doing a one upper on the other and Barbara Walters always has to talk about herself.

This just in....NO ONE CARES....

Barbara is the best and if she does not want Star on her show.. you best believe she has her reason. If they make "Shark Tale 2" Star can play on of the fishes...she looks just like one.

Star Jones is fighting to get the little bit of exposure she gets. I won't watch The Apprentice because of Star. I disliked this person that was so in love with herself when she was on The View & she still is. There is no room in my life for her & as far as I'm concerned Barbara or The View owe her nothing, absoutely nothing.

I love "The Talk" on CBS more than I do with "The View" on ABC.
Yeah, I would like to read Star Jones' book. She may be tough and aggressive but at least she is not boring.

I don't believe Star and Elizabeth know each other. I think Elizabeth came on after Star left.
