Is 'Idol' Castoff Pia Toscano Dating 'Dancing' Pro Mark Ballas?

It looks like romance is in the air between 'American Idol's' Pia Toscano and 'Dancing with the Stars' pro Mark Ballas.

TMZ is reporting that the Toscano and Ballas were seen on a dinner date at Gulfstream restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday, a day after the singer's surprise elimination from the competition.

PEOPLE is quoting a source who said that it was Toscano who "had a crush" on Ballas and she was positively "giddy" when she found out that 'Idol' and 'Dancing' were filming on adjacent soundstages at the CBS lot in Los Angeles.

It was fellow 'DWTS' contestant Chris Jericho who helped Toscano get a date with Ballas. The wrestler and 'Idol' castoff had mutual friends and it was through Jericho that she managed to exchange phone numbers with the dancing pro.

The source also says that the couple had "a great first date" and are planning to go out again.

And there seems to be more good news for Toscano as she reportedly signed a record deal with Interscope Records who are keen to see the 'Idol' favorite "record an album ASAP."

Mark...what won't you do to try to do a recording deal? Look...I hate to hurt your feelings....but you suck. Really! You are NOT good. You're doing all this crap, causing your dancing partner issues that will get her boot off DWTS? Now this? Pia...what are you thinkiing? Here you have an opportunity to do well...you pull a stunt like this? You were my pick to succeed, maybe not win "Idol", but win. Like Kathrine McPhee, you could make a move which could destroy a chance. Mark...grow up, give her a break.

Saw Pia singing all night long Friday night on the Tonight Show. It's clear that Pia is so far above the teeny bopper mentality of American Idol. She truly belongs in an adult audience with an appreciation for music. She has a spectacular voice and talent. If you're a 12 year old girl, I guess you wouldn't understand.

That's what people have said about many fallen Idols. But where are they now? Vonzell finished 3rd and then dropped off the face of the planet. After the tour Pia will never be heard from again. No 9th place finisher has ever gone anywhere...but home.

Actually Mike, even though you haven't heard about many of the castoffs in the media, they ARE doing OK making a living in local clubs and events. Idol gave them the exposure they needed to get recognized.

What is Wrong with you people. Pia is very talented singer she was the best on the show. Mark is cute guy and a great dancer. If you don't have anything nice to say about them then don't get on this web site.

Ah, young love...or lust. Let them have their fun. It's not like they're planning on getting married, because THAT would be pretty dumb. Too young, too much on the go, anything more than fun in the sun just wouldn't work out for them. Seriously, at that age (22 and 24), they are still finding themselves, and having a good time doing so.

@ David....SURE I have an eye and an ear for good music and I definitely can spot an entertaining entertainer and PIA was not that. I never said that all the others were better than her. There will only be one AI and if they made it to the top 10 they were very lucky to get there. Now it is all about personality and popularity......Pia had neither.
