Is 'Idol' Castoff Pia Toscano Dating 'Dancing' Pro Mark Ballas?

It looks like romance is in the air between 'American Idol's' Pia Toscano and 'Dancing with the Stars' pro Mark Ballas.

TMZ is reporting that the Toscano and Ballas were seen on a dinner date at Gulfstream restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday, a day after the singer's surprise elimination from the competition.

PEOPLE is quoting a source who said that it was Toscano who "had a crush" on Ballas and she was positively "giddy" when she found out that 'Idol' and 'Dancing' were filming on adjacent soundstages at the CBS lot in Los Angeles.

It was fellow 'DWTS' contestant Chris Jericho who helped Toscano get a date with Ballas. The wrestler and 'Idol' castoff had mutual friends and it was through Jericho that she managed to exchange phone numbers with the dancing pro.

The source also says that the couple had "a great first date" and are planning to go out again.

And there seems to be more good news for Toscano as she reportedly signed a record deal with Interscope Records who are keen to see the 'Idol' favorite "record an album ASAP."

First of all Pia should not have been voted off. That show is so fixed. And Jennifer with her phoney cry. Pia was the one to beat. On Pia dateing Mark on Dancing with the Stars. He really needs to get over himself and that ugly hair cut of his. Watch where you go from here Pia. You are very talented and sweet. Get out of Hollywood.

I guess she got what she wanted. She wasn't that great of a singer and she was only in it for the glory and maybe a modeling job or an acting job or maybe even a movie star or someone famous well she got what she wanted and maybe what she deserved.

I agree....she is not that talented. She has a good voice, but she's a one trick pony. No matter how they speed up the tempo to make her try to "rock out", she still sounds like a Las Vegas lounge singer. As far as her hitting those "high notes", she screeched her way to them. GLAD SHE'S GONE AND SO ARE MY EARS!

I am sure there is allot of concerned Idol exec's after witnessing Steven Tyler telling the group next to him to STFU when the crowd started boohing ........ Anybody else catch that??. I kept rewinding the DVR to make sure I saw correctly. I really like the guy but do think at his age and the way he acts and looks, there are some real issues there!

Some people cannot hear music. They hear the beat, but cannot understand or discriminate tones. On Idol, we see them at the beginning of the season in those crazy auditions. Unfortunatly, the people who do not like Pia, are exactly like those tone deaf clowns who don't get the golden ticket, but they do get a big laugh.

now that Pia, for some reason, got voted off the island, I suppose it's time to promote a record of her own. do we need a singer who is half Whitney and half Mariah? well, no, we don't, but she will have her 15 minutes anyway. she's good, but we hear singers at karaoke bars just as good almost any night of the week.

I guess she is now at celebrity status and now she must date only celebrities. So much for the guy who may work at McDonnalds bairly making minimum wage to have a chance of dating her now. I guess that holds true for the rest of the contestants now as well. Why is it that a person that is a celebrity or has reached celebrity status must date other celebrities or someone that is equal to their financial situation? If it's because of money, then not everybody are "gold diggers".
