Is 'Idol' Castoff Pia Toscano Dating 'Dancing' Pro Mark Ballas?

It looks like romance is in the air between 'American Idol's' Pia Toscano and 'Dancing with the Stars' pro Mark Ballas.

TMZ is reporting that the Toscano and Ballas were seen on a dinner date at Gulfstream restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday, a day after the singer's surprise elimination from the competition.

PEOPLE is quoting a source who said that it was Toscano who "had a crush" on Ballas and she was positively "giddy" when she found out that 'Idol' and 'Dancing' were filming on adjacent soundstages at the CBS lot in Los Angeles.

It was fellow 'DWTS' contestant Chris Jericho who helped Toscano get a date with Ballas. The wrestler and 'Idol' castoff had mutual friends and it was through Jericho that she managed to exchange phone numbers with the dancing pro.

The source also says that the couple had "a great first date" and are planning to go out again.

And there seems to be more good news for Toscano as she reportedly signed a record deal with Interscope Records who are keen to see the 'Idol' favorite "record an album ASAP."

He's a super nice guy and a great dancer. And she is desperate to move that fast if the info is correct. I get the impression insecurity was one of the reasons she was kicked off idol. Nothing to do with talent or looks.

You people are obviously clueless. Mark Ballas is one of the nicest guys out there. Mark and Derek Hough are best friends and each have/had girlfriends. Mark was involved with Sabrina from the Cheetah Girls and Derek with Shannon Elizabeth.
I don't know about this date with Pia but I thought I saw sparks with his current dance partner Chelsea.

I thought he and Chelsea would make a great pair, too. They are perfect together. This article is the silliest, most ridiculous piece of crap....one dinner hardly makes them an item.

Mark seems like a heck of a guy and I agree, for those who are making gay jokes about he and Derek Hough, if you've watched DWTS for any length of time, you'd know they've been besties for years and Derek traveled and trained with Mark and his folks, who are also dancers. They're like brothers.

Well here we go. So much for the promising new artist and her new album that they are going to turn out quickly. She is already distracted by some reality star, Gues she has started her journey into tabloid celebrity and will not devote the time needed to have the singing career she should have. It's how it works these days, they get to Hollywood and get distracted by all the hype and off they go to obscurity.

The majority of American Idol finalists are bare talents at best so losing Pia wasn't losing much. Although Steven Tyler is fun as a judge...if this is the best they could choose AI needs Simon Cowell back, lol.

PLEASE! One date and a planned second one hardly make him her "beau" or make a relationship.

I thought they were under some kind of agreement with American Idol and Fox for a while, even after being kicked off, and were not allowed to sign other contracts or produce records.

I am not surprised as everyone seems to be about Pia being booted off the show. I also think she is full of herself, and wasn't what America wanted to see. If she did stay and won it I would have predicted her career would have been short lived. Although Pia does have a nice singing voice, she isn't what I would want to hear everytime I turned the radio on. As far as her being with Mr.Ballas who cares. They I think would make a good pair. Both stuck on themselves. That's just my oppinion.

She is under the 19 Entertainment contract in which she cannot sign another contract or even release anything unless they say so and they do not want any artist releasing anything until their winner does so first so she is stuck in limbo until they say she can do anything. She has been making the rounds this week on the morning shows and then she will be relegated to sitting on the sidelines until the Idol execs say she can do something.

If any of you ever wonder why you see these people on IDOL and then never hear from them again, it's because of their contract they make all contestants sign. This gives them total control over the artist for 7 years and thus they can just let them rot on the vine if they want to. This is why many promising young artists who have been approached to be on IDOL have turned them down over the years as they had industry insiders who taught them about the 19 Entertainment contract confinement.

Now you know why the talent level keeps dropping on that show.

Not true, they do not own the contestants for 7 years, lol. Daughtry signed with a label just before being voted off that night and no one was able to stop him, nor did their contract say they could. He only had to wait until the season itself was over.

Yea, it went to her head! Top 12 and getting all that attention of people telling her she was beautiful just rush to her empty head. Obviously, if her boyfriend of 4 years was there with her family; they were pretty close but now she thinks she is too good for him.
