Woody Allen Recruits Alec Baldwin for Next Film

Woody Allen has marked Rome as the next stop on his European filmmaking odyssey, and he's recruited Alec Baldwin as his co-pilot.

Baldwin will take a leading role in Allen's next film, starring alongside Penelope Cruz, who announced last week that she's in the film.

Baldwin and Allen last worked together on the 1990 film 'Alice.' Cruz and Allen recently made 'Vicki Cristina Barcelona,' which earned Cruz an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Deadline first broke the news that Allen is also zeroing in on 'The Social Network' star Jesse Eisenberg, who may be the most neurotic-seeming onscreen presence since Allen in his glory days, for another leading role.

Allen, long known for his love affair with his hometown of New York, has branched out in recent years. His most recent film, 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger,' was made in London, while his upcoming 'Midnight in Paris,' was shot in the French capital.

"Each time it's been like writing a love letter to these places and projecting my feelings for them on the screen," Allen told Variety in March. "I hope to be able to do the same with Rome."

Hollywood has a short memory. I'm surprised that they let this child molester still make films. You would think that the actors would boycott his films. Goes to show Hollywood has the morals of a snake.

Exactly, as the father of a teenage girl Baldwin needs to re- think about working with this disgusting pederast that sexually abused his own step daughter! I agree! This is the same thing that happens with people who are pedophiles and are not famous. If they have money and or power everyone looks the other way. Those who look the other way are just as quilty as the pedophiles themselves! SHSAME ON THEM!

Rome is such a beautiful and romantic city; takes ones breath away. I certainly don't want to see it through the eyes of the likes of Woody Allen.

woody is funny. so are our presidents: pearl necklace clinton, drunk w, & obama hawaii. so, alec is as screwed up as woody; yes, i did appreciate him bawling out his ungrateful hollywood daughter. the roman movie should be pretty funny. and, to the folks who don't like woody or his humor, try watching some of his serious films, like "interiors." you may look at woody in a whole new light. he's a genius!

Oh, please. Woody's wife was never his step-daughter. He was never married to Mia Farrow. She was not a child when they began their affair. It's a LITTLE creepy the way their relationship began, I'll grant you, but in no way is Woody a pedophile, a child molester, etc. He's an old guy with a young wife. BFD.
