A source tells
PEOPLE that the pair, who went out on a date in 2009, have been in touch recently. "In the past few weeks, they have stayed in contact," the insider said.
"Jen always had a soft spot for Bradley, and she thinks he is very attractive and charming," the source added.
Cooper just split from girlfriend
Renee Zellweger, whom he began dating shortly after being seen with Aniston.
Nearly two years ago, in May of 2009, there were rumors that Cooper and Aniston were an item, but the 'Hangover' star denied them. "I met her three times in my life," he told
PEOPLE at the time. "My mom loves it, but unfortunately it's not true."
Then in June of 2009, Bradley and Jen were seen at dinner in New York City. Photogs even caught a pic of the two together on their night out. (They dined at Italian eatery Il Cantinori.)
A source commented of the situation then to
PEOPLE: "It was a date. She is taking it slow. She is obviously looking for love, but is not about to rush into anything."
But later, Cooper would explain
to the magazine that it was just a friendly meal. "She's a friend of mine. Simply, simply, just a friend."
The actor, who will next be seen in 'The Hangover Part II,' divorced wife Jennifer Esposito in 2007 and the actress, of course, split from husband Brad Pitt in 2005.

Jen and Bradley would be awesome together! From what I have read about them, separately of course, it sounds to me that they'd make a perfect couple. Not to mention that they'd look great together. I am NO Renee' Zell-whatever fan and again, only from what I have read, I think that Bradley & Jen would be a perfect match! Fingers crossed and IF it happens, best wishes to them!

I can't believe you people, building up Jolie!! Have you forgotten what a rag she was when she started panting down Brads back!! She has screwed everything that would hold still.Look at her . She is 7 tears younger than Jen, NOW Jen looks pretty good doesn't she? Wait till Jolie has her next breakdown. Oh, please, Bradley Cooper, don't get mixed up with this "desperate for a man" George W. Bush lookalike! You are definitely too good looking for this 40 yr. old chick (or should I say "Cougar"?) female. She has been desperate to get another man that is in the same league and rank as Brad Pitt since he humiliated her (and I felt sorry for her then, but never felt that she and Brad belonged together, he was way above her in rank as a STAR an actor even then), but he did himself a favor by dropping her and hooking up with Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer hasn't gotten over that rejection and probably never will. She is just trying to make herself appear desirable by catching another male that is in the same category as Brad, which you are since "The Hangover" came out!

Thats just mean!! There are a lot of women out there that have lots of men friends. That doesn't mean they are sleeping with them!!I had a friend for 12 years and we were just that, friends!I get the impression that some of you guys only take a gal out for one thing. This is 2011, try to expand your mind and keep up with the times.

Jen has lots of men attention all of a sudden. Good for her. If that makes her happy, hope for all the best. She doesn't need a man to be happy. Not like some of the rest of them, without a man, they are lost and alone. Have to have a reason to make themselves feel like a woman, instead of being a woman.

While I respect the sanctady of marriage, I feel this marriage between Brangelina is a farce. They are the most disfunctional couple/family I know. Hiding there twins till they turned 1. Allowing Shilo to dress like a boy. He looks husband beaten emotionally, often taking off on his bike when he cannot stand it and calling Jen a lot. Either you are not reading the media or you choose to believe they are a happy couple. Angie needs psychological help. Traveling to underprivleged countries does not make her a saint. The good ole USA has lot of kids that are starving and neglected. Why isn't she adopting ones here or helping the victims of the tragic tornados and Katrina still?? Because she is a selfish woman with too much money and no brains. I hope Brad leaves her and finds peace with a woman who will treat him with respect and love. Her crazy antics were not love.
