Jennifer Lopez Is PEOPLE's Most Beautiful

Jennifer Lopez graces the cover of PEOPLE's Most Beautiful issue.

The 'American Idol' judge tells the magazine that she prefers to be makeup free and low maintenance.

"That's when I'm my happiest," Lopez explains. "Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It's so much better."

But she knows that being beautiful comes with her job description. "The thing is, it's part of my job."

"I don't want anybody thinking it's easy. It does take time and it's hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!" she adds.

Her daughter Emme enjoys a little primping just like mom. "She is very girly-girl, just like me since I was very little. She loves for me to paint her nails. She lays out her clothes on the floor like I do with my stylist and she's like, 'This matches very good!'"

But Emme doesn't have all the fun. "[My son Max] wants to paint his nails too. Because for him, it's just paint. He's like, 'I want the blue!'"

The singer-actress turned reality star admits she has grown into her "diva" label. "I kind of like it. We've kind of owned it now. But I certainly don't like and I've never been a person who has what they call 'diva behavior,' which is something they tried to pin on me for a long time."

Who else made the issue? Teen heartthrob Zac Efron is on the list, with newlywed Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore.

Katie Holmes, Jennifer Hudson, 'Twilight' vamp Kellan Lutz, Dana Delany, 'Office' stars Ellie Kemper and Mindy Kaling, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence, Eva Longoria and Ryan Reynolds are also represented.

What needs to happen is to present titles that make sense. Instead of "Most Beautiful", how about "Most Beautiful People Magazine Celebrity 2011"?

What did I say about Rhianna, Britney and J Lo...why bother learning how to SING...use sex and da face girlgriends!!!! I still can't get over how the Idols can sing better than half the female Billboard artists. SEX SALES!!! hahahahaha

I swear I thought I was the only one that realized that the Idols are the ones with all the talent! Who is JLo to give advise. JLo herself can use some singing lessons from the Idols! Has anyone ever heard JLo sing live without the electronics and machine voice altering that they do? The woman cannot sing nor act let's be realistic. Finally, someone else that I can agree with Thank you Sharon!

She did a movie many years ago - ANACONDA - and I thought she looked her absolute best. She has such naturally beautiful features and dark wavy hair, she didn't need the Hollywood makeover. She still looks stunning; I just think she looked better when she was starting out.

Its wonderful to be named the most beautiful women. Because it is your peers that judged you and give you the vote. Pretty is as pretty does. So hopefully their is a lot more than beauty people can judge her on. Acts of Kindness and the way she treats others.Beauty is only skin deep. And beauty fades with age.

Well she is pretty, but I think she is on it because so to say she is the flavor of the month because of Idol. I bet Kim Kardashian is jealous and upset. Jennifer has talent, Kim doesn't.
