We've been waiting for it since Hugh Hefner tweeted that Karina Smirnoff would grace the cover of Playboy -- and here it is.

The 'Dancing With the Stars' professional, who is paired with favorite Ralph Maccio this year, tells the magazine, "As a dancer I've always embraced my body. I'm thrilled to show off my strong, toned physique in the pages of Playboy and celebrate my sexiness."

"To me, sexy is the confident energy a person produces. Sexy is the comfortable feeling of being who you are. Sexy is not just having beautiful lips, legs and arms; it's beyond that. Sexy is soul," she adds.

Smirnoff goes nude inside the pages of Playboy, which of course we can't show you. (Even the cover was a little too racy for our family-friendly pages -- notice our censorship.)

Insiders suggested that posing naked could land the dancer in hot water with the hit reality series -- but so far there have been no consequences.

This isn't the first time Karina has posed naked. She also did a PETA ad in the buff.

Look... Former celebs posing nude didn't stop DWTS from having them on the show not to mention Hostess Brooke Burke posed. What difference is there with Karina? She is a beautiful woman with a body she has worked damn hard to keep toned and fit. She should be proud to show it off. Give her a break. How many women would really turn down a huge sum of money for a nude pic???? Heck I would do it and I'm sure they would pay me millions to keep my clothes on!! LOL......

first let me say that Karina has a beautiful body and her decisions are her own. Because she is engaged i just wondered why she posed nude. once upon a time it was a perk to see your woman nude. however,,not in a porn magazine. oh well, its not any of my business. wish she had waited until this season was over before exposing herself. DWTS is one of our favorite shows, now i wont be able to forget what she has done. only advice i have is "be happy if you can"

I'm disgusted by this gross plea for attention and how she betrayed her partner. I have voted for Karina many times in the past, but never again. No one needs to see your business, Trampsickoree. I won't vote for Kendra either, and neither will the rest of the country. She'll be gone next week with Ralph gone the week after.

I work for DWTS and the politics are ridiculous! Every season we've had "celebrities" who have done Playboy. Three who have sex tapes. Yet Karina is being made an "example" of and DWTS also turned down Cindy Margolis who made history with her cover and Celebrity Pictorial debut in Playboy Magazine for the proceeds going to her charity for infertility. Cindy helped families have their miracle baby yet Pam, Kim and Kendra can have sex tapes while Karina's job's in jeopardy.

Kelly Monaco, who was a Playboy Playmate back in the 90s, was on the 1st season of DWTS and ABC. They didn't seem to have a problem with that. So, I don't know why Karina would get fired over this.
