Shakira was robbed while in the middle of a performance -- and the whole incident was caught on camera. The Colombian pop star was shaking hands with fans during a show in Monterrey, Mexico, when a ring was taken right off her finger by a concertgoer, according to UsMagazine.com.
The video of the incident clearly shows Shakira's confused reaction to losing her ring, but -- always the professional -- she continued her performance without delay.
There's no word on the price of the stolen ring or where security was when the incident occurred.

Lots of good Mexicans came here, but we need to check the identity of all because their are quite a number of bad one's who are gang members who murder, steal, sell drugs, rape and so on. We need to know who crosses our borders at all times !!

Mexico? No surprise there.

This use to happen to Elvis all the time back in the 1970's. He had a lot of rings taken off his fingers while he was singing and just reached out to touch a girls hand at the stage.

The ring was clearly NOT on her finger, when she looked at her hand. Mexico is not somewhere you want to wear shoes, much less jewelry! And clearly, 95% of any race will steal your underwear if you are not wearing it.

these stories are dumb because this was reported then re-reported that the ring wasnt stolen cause she still had on the ring thats why she didn't react negative

We attack the wrong places. We should blow Mexico off the map once and for all. Oh wait a second....that would do no good! They are all over here!

I FIND THIS VERY IGNORANT, I BEING COLOMBIAN AND PEOPLE KNOWING HOW DANGEROUS COLOMBIA IS. THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO HER IN COLOMBIA, EVEN MORE SO IN BRAZIL.
to houzzou; please stop asking people to find mates at agelessc'upid.c'om all they find is a costly virus.

People please! what happen to her is WRONG no matter what she supports. she handled it with grace and style. you dont know maybe someone very important to her gave her that ring. whoever took it should man up and return it, its the right thing to do!

Just shows what low life Mexicans are.

I saw this on E! last night. They said this story is NOT true (in the So True! So False! segment), although it does look like that is what happened. They said Shakira's reps have denied the incident. If you look real close, you can still see the ring on her finger when she pulls her hand back up.

Shakira -- NOBODY Stole My Jewelry!
4/14/2011 11:30 AM PDT by TMZ Staff
Shakira was NOT the victim of a gutsy ring-stealing fan in Mexico last week ... despite widespread reports to the contrary and a viral video which appeared to capture the crime ... her publicist tells TMZ.
Shakira's publicist, Joseph Carozza, tells us, “There is no truth to this report. A fan grabbed her hand and she looked down. Her ring is still visible on her hand as she continued to walk through the crowd.”
Case closed.

that ring happen to belong to her great grandmother, which was given to her on her death bed. she died later of a yeast infection.
