Disney Star Adam Hicks Won't Get Lost in the 'Hollywood Scene'
Disney's new star Adam Hicks, who can be seen in the channel's original movie
'Lemonade Mouth,' is loving his new-found fame and is determined to "stay grounded" and not make the same kinds of mistakes other young stars have.
"I admire Shia Labeouf and Selena Gomez," the 18-year-old actor tells me of Disney stars that came before. "You have to stay grounded. You can get lost in the Hollywood scene of things."
Adam tells me he started acting when he was seven, doing local jobs in Las Vegas. Then he attracted an agent and "my life changed."
He added, "The business is crazy, I'm now 18 and this is my prime moment and I'm going to work as hard as possible."
Before landing the lead in 'Lemonade Mouth,' which premieres tonight, Adam could be seen on the Disney comedy series, 'Zeke and Luther.'
As his career was heating up, Adam would take trips home on the weekends. "My mom keeps me grounded and my little brother isn't into the entertainment thing."
When I met Adam he was with his mom and believe me, you could tell her first priority was raising her son not a star!
