Condoleezza Rice to Guest Star as Alec Baldwin's Ex on '30 Rock'

This could be awkward... awkwardly hilarious! Condoleezza Rice, former secretary of state under the Bush administration and ex-lover of the fictional Jack Donaghy (
Alec Baldwin), will guest star on an upcoming episode of NBC's '30 Rock.'
'30 Rock' creator and star
Tina Fey dropped the casting news at a book signing, according to the
Washington Post.
The fictional relationship between Rice and Jack Donaghy began in the Season 1 episode titled 'The Break Up.'
During the episode, Jack keeps his relationship a secret from the other characters, but becomes upset when he sees Rice with Vladimir Putin. They eventually break up.
Fey and the '30 Rock' team previously approached Bill Clinton about appearing in the landmark 100th episode, but the request was turned down by his camp. A Clinton representative told the
New York Post, "The request was made and immediately denied without asking him."
In other political figure TV news, Michelle Obama will appear on the 'Gayle King Show' on April 19, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

I've watched all of 5 minutes at the most of 30 Rock. It's just not my type of humor. It is interesting that Ms. Rice would do the show. It certainly shows she has a sense of humor and that's a good thing.

How can anyone pay attention to this woman, knowing her involvement in 9/11 (?)
She should be in prison. 1 million dead, and counting.
Wake up America !

What are you talking about?
You obviously don't know how to think for yourself and listen to way too much talk radio.
Exactly. The only show Condescending Rice should be playing is the variety show at a Federal Penitentiary For Women.
Miss Rice is a very articulate and talented woman but she hung herself out to dry serving in the dreadful Bush travesty - not to mention she was playing tennis with Monica Seles while blacks drowned in New Orleans. @jwblackpride: is that something to be proud of??? Im black and I am not - a successful black person SHOULD have to be more than black to get admiration from other blacks and even whites
Which all of your claims about Rice are lies.
Not sure if this is the right role for her at this stage of her career, but she has been out of the public eye for a while so it might just do the trick!

I would like to see more of Condoleeza. I think she got a bad rap and took the fall for Georges antics.

Hmm, should be interesting. I don't really watch 30 Rock but my bf does, and I might check this out.

I don't watch the show either. This should be equivalent to Condoleezza doing a speech at the Democrat National Convention.

I don't think this woman took the fall for anyone. She did an exemplary job in all of the cabinet positions she held in the Bush Administration. History will show this to be true. If ever there was a woman who is electable as President and is qualified to hold the office it is Condoleeza Rice. Very intelligent, well poised and knowledgeable with regard to America's Foreign policy. The Republican Party should draft her to run. She would be an outstanding President.
