Lady Gaga's 'Judas' Leaks Online, Singer Releases Song Four Days Early

'Judas,' the much-anticipated second single from Lady Gaga's forthcoming album 'Born This Way,' found its way onto the Internet earlier today, and now the singer, in an apparent attempt to jump ahead of the leak, has released the song to iTunes four days before the planned April 19 release date.

The video for the song is already being talked up, sight unseen. The video's co-director and Gaga's creative director, Laurieann Gibson, told MTV the video will be "groundbreaking," though she also admitted the controversial subject matter nearly caused her to back out of the project. Listen:

In the clip, Gaga reportedly plays Mary Magdalene. Without seeing so much as a picture of the singer costumed as the biblical figure, Catholic League President Bill Donohue told Hollywood Life, "She thinks she is going to be groundbreaking. She is trying to ripoff Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances. This is a stunt."

Of the song itself, Rolling Stone, which got an early listen, says, "'Judas' is a classic Lady Gaga pop banger with three huge hooks, a thumping house music breakdown and a vocal part that borrows a bit of Rihanna's distinctive cadence. Gaga has written about falling for the wrong guy before in 'LoveGame' and 'Bad Romance,' but this time around she's a bit less dark and dramatic."

But our friends at Vulture perhaps put it best: "Anyway: If we were zooted out of our minds at five in the morning on a dance floor in the sketchy part of Berlin right now, this would almost definitely be the greatest song we'd ever heard."

Lady Gaga herself intended on leaking three snippets and releasing it (regardless of anything else happening) four days earlier than "planned" - to represent the three times Judas betrayed Jesus, the final being four days before Good Friday.

I can honesstly say that this is the worse song that I have heard in a long time. I thought Born this way was terrible....but this is just pure garbage.I think Gag Gag is just trying to be so good that the reverse is happening and she is getting worse....terrible ...terrible song Gag Gag....you will never have another song as good as Bad Romance....so just go about trying to be weird and attention seeking...I'm sure your immature childish followers will like you just the same.....the rest of us with taste...well sorry...will not be listening to your crappy music(if thats what you call it) anymore.

Seriously this song is just BLAND. I don't see how this could even be catchy. Maybe if you were drunk all night and partying and dancing at some club, maybe just MAYBE it might be a song worth dancing/listening to. But with a crappy chorus and little content or meaning to the lyrics... Yea this is worse then Born This Way. Besides Bad Romance which is arguably her best song all of her songs are starting sound the same :\ If she can't do anything better then this then I don't see her lasting much past the crazy outfits and theatrics. You need more then that to succeed. Her voice is okay but her songs especially recently are all mashed up techno trance esque type songs.

This thing (Lady Gaga) has no talent so she must depend on shock value to draw attention to herself. This is the state of the "music industry": today. It is not so much about talent anymore as it is about marketing and being able to break though all of the other media (and social media) noise out there. This is the way all "entertainment" is headed. Less talent, more shock.
