Video: Did Another Girl Get Eliminated on 'Idol'?

Since 'American Idol' whittled down their pool of contestants down to the Top 13 and handed the reins over to the American public, one thing has been certain. America is not feeling the girls this year.

The first five eliminations since the Top 13 began have all been women, including last week's surprise elimination of Pia Toscano who was at one time considered one of the contest's front-runners.

With only two girls left in the competition, would their losing streak continue, or would it finally be the end of the road for one of the guys? Making things worse for the girls, Haley Reinhart was the only one who really got any negative feedback from the judges last night. Other than that, it was the usual gush-a-thon.

We can't say if it was because she chose a Blondie song, or because of the judges' criticism, but Haley Reinhart was the first person dropped into the Bottom Three, making everyone nervous. Everyone, that is, except for the conspiracy theorists waiting to drop their bombs on the blogosphere should yet another girl be sent packing.

So they must have been crushed, when Haley was the first of the Bottom Three sent back to safety. That left Paul McDonald and Stefano Langone alone in the bottom, a place both had been before.

McDonald struggled a bit with Bob Seger the night before, and had the dreaded first position on the night. While Langone got high praise for his take on Boyz II Men, he was a Wild Card who's now been in the Bottom Three three times. Has America finally had enough?

Nope! Langone was sent back to the couches, and McDonald was sent packing. But not before he gave us an encore performance. And for it, Jennifer Lopez requested he sing Rod Stewart's 'Maggie May' one more time. We couldn't have picked a better song!

Am SOOOO glad that he is gone. I couldn't believe that he made it this far. He had a HORRIBLE voice, and his stupid dance moves were annoying. It was strange that even though Randy and Jen admitted that he was off pitch all the time, that they still praised him like a god. He mumbled and slurred most of the phrases. And even the mentor told him a week ago, "you better get serious, because just going out there and smiling isn't going to cut it anymore". His only redeeming quality was that he sounded like a very poor version of Rod Stewart, which isn't going to sell records.

Man, the girls are hot. I hate what happened to Pia last week but I know that she will succeed.

Does it really matter who wins American Idol? It just seems like the last winner who is still well known is Carrie Underwood. I do not hear from the other winners that much except for Kelly Clarkson who was recently on 'Ellen', Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, and pretty much that is it.

After Haley's performance tonight with Casey, I'm glad to see that she survived the cut. She just needs to get better song choice advice. Next to go -- Jacob. I thought he was a front-runner until he lectured look in the mirror -- at what? you're gay? You're black? Get over it bud. You got the chops, you win. You don't got them, you lose. That's the way America votes.

you would have to see her sing at a concert...A cd and her scratchy, growling voice....I can't listen to her long she sounds like she has laryngitis.

When they had the top 13, I had a few favs. That quickly ended. Pia and Paul were my favs, now I am rooting for Scotty and James. Haley should have been gone weeks ago, she is annoying.

I agree with you...I like lauren though...But Haleys voice sounds like she has laryngitis...I miss PIA!....also paul sang great.The reason haley is there is because ,once again,the judges said they don't want to see a girl go home ...so...viewers just follow......

I really can't believe that Stephano is still there. He has no talent or voice at all!! There getting rid of all the people with talent to keep someone that doesnt deserve to be there at all!!! This is defintely the last season im watching american idol. What is the purpose of having judges if they can't save the people that actually deserve to be there!

After Pia Toscano got booted, we stopped watching. This show has gotten lazy and pathetic. (Ryan Seacrest makes my skin crawl!) There's only been TWO great artists who were "crowned" the American idol and those were Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

She had a beautiful voice without a doubt, but by no means would her being cut cause me to stop watching! It's not the judges that decide now who stays or who goes! So VOTE for who you want to win, everyone does not have the same taste! There are so many more talented one's on the show, you can not deny that Scotty, James, Casey and Jacob all have great talent!
I can tell you are a man,(LOL) she sure dressed the part to have you men vote to keeep her on! If she had bent over her last night on there she would have gave the audience and YOU more to see than Janet Jackson ever thought of showing! (LOL)
Like Randy tell's Scotty every week keep it true to yourself!
So she maybe should have choosen a different song!

where have all the good singers gone ????like kelly clarkson and carrie...eliminated so weird ones can make it to the top....I want to hear good singing....I miss PIA....Lauren is the only one that really deserves to win...James is good too...but not my kind of music.....

I am glad that Paul is gone..They Kept saying he was a true artist..Not sure about that..I know that artists like Tom Petty and Neil Young are not the greatest singers, but they write great songs and they write their songs to flow with their style and voice..They don't do cover tunes like Paul was doing (badly I might add)..I think that J-lo likes him so much, because she can't sing either, so she really can't tell you who is a good singer and who isn't..And I think she is an attractive girl..But to be named the most beautiful woman in the world..I think not..Wonder what she looks like without the aide of hairdressers, makeup artists and fashion consultants?
