In her soon-to-be-released memoir, former 'American Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi reveals she was molested as a child and date raped by a well-known music producer, E!Online.com reports. In the book, 'A Helluva High Note,' DioGuradi opens up about a family friend's son who repeatedly molested her when she was only 11. "On one particular day, he took me into the back shed of his house and put his hands all over my breasts and vagina," she writes. "I remember freezing and not knowing what to do."
DioGuardi, whose new Bravo show 'Platinum' debuts next month, also reveals how a well-known producer date raped her after dinner. "Within a few hours, he was on top of me, pumping, sweating, and speaking to me in Spanish, not a word of which I could understand," she writes.
The former 'Idol' judge said she never told anyone for fear it would affect her career.

Why do these people think that their life is so exciting that they have this huge urge to write a book? Every book has the same thing in it; they were either raped or molested. If this really happened in their lives, geez get therapy for crying out loud. Who really cares? My concern is for the real rape victims or victims of being molested, I don't see any them writing books. The simple fact is this; you are a has been, you are no longer relevant. Frankly, I never watch American Idol so this lady could be whomever and I wouldn't who the heck she is, go away already, we don't care

I have an answer to your question. People write books because people buy them. If you don't want to read them, there is no need to get all pissy, just don't read them.
BigD summed it up. The better question is why are you reading this? It oviously held enough interest for you to read and respond. So those that do have an interest will purchase and read the book. Hope that helps clear up your questions.
Hmmmmmmmm, I guess the debut of her Bravo show has nothing to do with her timely admissions huh? It appears that you have to be somewhat of a vicitim to be a Hollywood player today. It's sad that people feel that they have to go to this exstinct just to get some play.
Big D....You hit the nail squarely on the head...I will never understand why people get on these forums to bash other people on what they're doing or have done when nothing is making them participate in whatever it is...Geez.
Ugh, that's too bad. I'm not talking about Kara. I'm talking about all the negative remarks made against her revelations. Hey, she was molested. What can she do when she was a little girl? And what can she do to defend herself when she was date-raped in later life? You people that squealed over her book can go f yourself.
whoa is me cara or kara
the best theraphy for all this is your book AH MAYBE BEING #1 IN
THE NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER AND CRYING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK?
When that happens,I guess youll be emotionally healed right
uhuh
And maybe youll change your name to KARAT.
I agree
Why did you bother to respond if "we don't care" ? Had something like what happened to Ms. DioGuradi happened to you or a loved one, maybe you would feel different, but she should not be dismissed as you have done to her, just because she wrote a book about this horrible experience. Maybe, just maybe, her book will help someone.
you are obviously fat and ugly or just jealious of beautiful women like Kara.
You hear me PIG!
Not to make light of a serious problem but is sexual abuse the new "in" problem? Tell the police, I'm sick of hearing about it.
News flash, you got no right to speak for everyone and was "WE, don't care" do you understand that. And as YOU say, you don't know who she is, so let me tell you: she is far, far too young, and too talented to be a has been. She may/may not be your cup of tea, fine. But she IS talented, both as a singer (super voice) and more importantly, a great song writer. Again, may not be your thing, but she IS pretty big in the industry, whether you like it, or not. As regards interest in her personal life, I am with you. I don't know her, she doesn't know me, and I am always amazed the news makers think their personal life is of interest. I just don't get it.
You must have found it very exciting since you took the trouble to click onto the story then read it! Hey, can't have it both ways, if you are truly NOT interested you shouldn't read the story!
you're correct
I couldn't agree more. I really think these people should tell these stories to their therapists, their mothers (if they feel like it) and nobody else. It is no business of anyone else.
Over the years I've learned a little about myself, and my surrounding. One big lesson I learned is to listen to my instinct and that voice that warns you right before whatever it my be happens. I've never met Kara DioGuardi but everytime I hear or see her on television I get a really honest good feeling about her.

Oh how sweet.....a real warm feeling huh? Wow....you think you have a shot a her now?
Hey Jack ~ I totally get what you are saying. Me too. While I can't honestly say I was/am a fan of Kara's, I get the same feeling about her too.
Quite possibly the most annoying and self serving personality I have ever seen. Her voice and attitude are like fingernails on a chalkboard!!!
